Incorrect Goodreads Author Info. And ID# In Google Search Results

My Goodreads author ID#1490571 is linked to a different author in Google search results. It shows another author named Susan Rounds who published a teaching book in 1975.

Each search result shows the incorrect author information, but each link directs you to my Goodreads Author Page and my novel, The Winds of Autumn.

Librarians cannot do anything about claimed author profiles or about Google search results.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I did contact Support and they said to post in the Librarians Group to fix an issue like this.

You could ask them what they expect librarians to do?

Contact them again & link to this thread where they can see a very experienced librarian said that we can't help.

I see your author names were disambiguated on January 9th (the other Susan's book was moved to a new profile). That seems a long time for the Google cache to be cleared, but as mentioned, we can't do anything about Google, since it has nothing to do with Goodreads.

Really interesting how there are such different results. I searched "Susan Rounds author" and the first result is the author in Post #1.

For me too, but the first Goodreads hit in Google (#4 in the list for me) is "Susan Rounds (Author of Teaching The Young Child) - Goodreads", and if I click on that link, I do get this Susan's page (the author of The Winds of Autumn), exactly as Susan says.

Yeah, I guess. I only use Google to look at authors from the Goodreads page. (Why would anyone use Google to find a Goodreads author? Why not just come to Goodreads in the first place?)
