maybe its just me but i found better than the movies to be REALLY fast paced like i finished in within 2 days because of how fast it is, and stuff kept happening to the point where i never got bored (it wasn’t overwealming either, just entertaining enough)
You should read the inheritance games series by Jennifer Lynn Barnes! It has short chapters and it’s very fast-paced
my go-to book to get out of reading slumps is sleet kitten by sj tilly. it's super fluffy and fast paced hockey romance. the cover is hideous and it's not exactly great literature- but its super cute and always works for me
