I feel betrayed that this isn't actually a romance novel. The writing is solid but my expectations were not met

when the tree says stuff abt plants I go brrr
like it's SO interesting! - so many of these facts are already known to me but they are being reimagined (imagined?) in a way that is so sentient

Yeah, I definitely prefer the fig tree's chapters to Ada's so far. She's a little to myopic for my tastes
