When did you begin to think that David's death was connected to Alana's disappearance?

Monica | 160 comments Mod
I actually kind of always thought that. It just seemed too coincidental that he was shot after looking into Alana's death/disappearance.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 7669 comments Mod
As soon as how he died was revealed, I got suspicious. When she found the notes from his investigation, my ears perked up.

Kris (My Novelesque Life) (mynovelesquelife) | 563 comments Mod
Right there with you Jonetta. I thought first it was a death due to illness for some reason. When they revealed how he died I knew it was connected.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 7669 comments Mod
It was hard to ignore, especially when the shooter was alone and from out of town. It really is unusual for hunters to hunt alone.

Kris (My Novelesque Life) (mynovelesquelife) | 563 comments Mod
Yep, and hunting accidents always sound suspicious (thanks to Dateline).

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 7669 comments Mod
LMAO!

Monica | 160 comments Mod
I actually looked up fatal hunting accidents stats, lol. Apparently 80-90 people die from hunting accidents a year. That seems like a lot to me, but is such a small number in accidental deaths overall.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 7669 comments Mod
Generally, hunting accidents happen when the hunters aren't following procedure. There was nothing to suggest that David wasn't wearing the required colors so he shouldn't have been mistaken for a bear.

That's very true and Les did everything to say it wasn't accident without actually saying it (through his arrogance).

Well, and see that's what I was wondering re: required colors. I wasn't sure if I'd just missed it or if it was never mentioned.

I didn't buy the whole, "I thought I shot a bear, but couldn't find it" excuse. He saw the "bear" and then shot it, but the bear was so speedy after it got hit that he couldn't locate it again? Yeah, not so much.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 7669 comments Mod
Yeah, it was lame from the beginning.

Kris (My Novelesque Life) (mynovelesquelife) | 563 comments Mod
The police in that town kind of just believes things at face value and don't really look any deeper. Yet the town is totally suspicious of everyone and everything lol

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 7669 comments Mod
Well there's a big contradiction:)

Monica | 160 comments Mod
That's so true, Kris. It's laughable how little they looked into the incident.

Kris (My Novelesque Life) (mynovelesquelife) | 563 comments Mod
Made me laugh because Myles seemed like a better sheriff in his book. It's weird how characters change from one book to the next lol

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 7669 comments Mod
In Myles defense, he wasn't the sheriff when David was murdered.

Kris (My Novelesque Life) (mynovelesquelife) | 563 comments Mod
Yes that's true and he did finally get in there.

Monica | 160 comments Mod
I had to keep reminding myself that Myles wasn't the sheriff then. Every once in a while I caught myself shaking my head at him, and then I'd remember, haha.

Kris (My Novelesque Life) (mynovelesquelife) | 563 comments Mod
The short period of time threw me off...Claire kept saying it's only been a year since David died and for some reason I have it in my head Myles is not that new to the position lol.
