I'm only about 20 pages in right now and I'm finding the characters very stereotypical.

YES! The first 20 chapters aren't all that impressive

but I'm at the 20 chapter mark and I think It's getting better :)

Don't get me wrong, he definitely made a bad decision about painting the school, one he was old enough to know better not to do - but honestly, it's ugly....their household is awful (hide spoiler)]

I agree with you, Trisha. Hannah (view spoiler)[ is darling. I worry about her dressing to please just because she's in high school though. I hope she doesn't get in trouble with boys! (hide spoiler)]e

I also agree that their family (view spoiler)[situation is horrible. His dad needs to get a clue. (hide spoiler)]

I especially dislike (view spoiler)[ Chip so far. I hope that he changes and doesn't remain a jerk! (hide spoiler)]

I think that Bethany (view spoiler)[ is okay and could end up being a good person. She was kind of snotty when he showed up with the cake, but she warmed up pretty quickly. I think they might end up in a little romance. (hide spoiler)]

but....that's it....disappointing.

I agree about a couple of things Trisha... (view spoiler)[ It was definitely very "and then" and the ending was so open-ended which I'm not a huge fan of. (hide spoiler)] I'm kind of between a 3 and 4 stars. I wasn't expected an amazing mind blowing book but it was enjoyable!

I am going with 3 stars for this one.

While I didn't dislike (view spoiler)[Tyler, I certainly wasn't in love with him. (hide spoiler)]

Bethany was definitely (view spoiler)[disappointing. I know she was drunk, but she should have (at least after the fact) respected that Tyler didn't take advantage of her. He had respect for her. (hide spoiler)]

Chip and his minions (view spoiler)[obviously disgusted me! I was upset not to see any kind of punishment for any of them! (hide spoiler)]

I agree with you two about the ending! It was (view spoiler)[way too abrupt and left too many knots undone. We never heard about Bethany again and nothing happened to anyone for what they did. I WAS glad that Tyler finally grew a pair and took back his life, so to speak. (hide spoiler)]
