There are lots of good bits in it and you read more nonfiction histories than I do, so you might like it.
The Man Who Never Was might be a good way to go, but from my understanding it leaves out some things because of classified information and Ewen Montagu didn't want to include them.
Montagu was at the center of the whole operation.


I read as a DTB. I have so many of them and I need to read them, but I read so much on kindle, that I find that I miss highlighting and looking things up.
I liked the information and the story behind it. Really amazing.
How far into it are you Joy?
It is the story about an espionage operation which was key to insuring the allies success of invading Sicily, so it is an important story indeed and well worth retelling.
So much detail about so many different people, shifts from one place to the other and so many parts where we watch paint dry. When I finally completed it I was delighted. I also learned that one of the stars of the book had written a book about it and left out many of the details. It's called The Man Who Never Was and they made it into a movie.
I could have used a few less details
