Mandy Bookstagram (mandysreadinglist) | 6 comments Hi, I have a question about becoming an author and if my works qualify to be listed on GR.

I have a few poems published, but they are individual poems that have been published to literary journals and magazines, not an entire book of poems. I have copies of the magazines where I have been published, but is a handful of poems enough to have an author page on GR?

So my question is do single or individual poems count as "book records"?

Thanks so much!

Abcdarian | 26579 comments If the particular journals/magazines are on Goodreads your name can be added to them as a contributor which would give you an author page. Single poems would not make a book page by themselves though.

Dobby (dobby0390) | 7865 comments To have your name listed as a contributor to an existing literary journal, post a request in the Book Issues folder, with a link to the Goodreads record.

If the journal or magazine is not in the Goodreads catalog, post a request to have it added in the Adding New Books & Editions folder.

Instructions on how to request a book addition are here

For literary journals/magazines, we'll also need the editor's name and a link to the journal website. A librarian will research the publication to see if it qualifies for addition to Goodreads.
