For me, it provides a strong argument to reaffirm why I believe in Jesus. I'm currently on Meaning Q&A.

That'd be awesome! Let me know which one you listen to or if you'd like any suggestions- they're AMAZING (underlined and bolded) in my opinion.

WAIT REALLY???????????? *viciously dives for the link*

- Forgive people's mistaken views because you were once mistaken
- Understand while you were God's enemy, he adopted you (most people don't think that they're God's enemy)
- Speak out against injustice, but in your heart forgive
- The only way to beat injustice is to forgive- injustice wants you to be bitter like the other person was bitter, so don't be bitter
- Typically, there are two reasons why people want to be friends with other people; the other person makes them feel good about themselves or the other person helps them move up socially. Need to learn how to love and open up to EVERYONE
- The sermon on the mount must not be read individually (must be accountable to other people) or moralistically (if I do all of these things, God will accept me)
- Jesus is the Good Samaritian
Please forgive my typos- these were just quick notes I took :)

The first was The Wedding Feast of the Lamb (https://gospelinlife.com/sermon/the-w...). It was basically a wonderful way of seeing the Gospel in Revelation through the lens of marriage.
The second was The Garden- City of God (https://gospelinlife.com/sermon/the-g...). I liked how he said cities have more people than the countryside, and since people are made in the image of God, God must like the city better than the countryside ;) He also pointed out that the citizens of the City of God should be the very best citizens of the City of Man (humans).

But the main thing that stuck out to me is that he says people no longer say (he's talked to a lot of people LOL), "I'll believe in Christianity only if it's true," but "Does it work?"
He says (though I believe he was quoting someone else) don't come to God because of power, though there certainly is power. Do not come to God because there is excitement, though there surely is excitement. Do not come to God for healing though there surely is healing. Come to God because it’s true. Or else you'll end up disappointed. That was really powerful to me.
So many people, I think, in my very limited experience, especially go to God for healing. They go to God because they're desperate and they need help, and while I think that's a good thing to do, don't be content to stay there. Be certain of the truth.
You can't put on the Armor of God in the middle of the battlefield. While God can and does save people in the middle of a crisis, it is so, so important to put on your armor before trouble comes, so that when it comes, you will be ready. The first thing that's listed in the Armor of God is the Belt of Truth. You must know, you must be certain of the truth. Then, if you aren't feeling very powerful or excited or healed, you know what the truth is, and you can hold on to it. I must be certain of the truth, so that if/when people ask, I can have a reason for the hope I have.
Guys, I'm feeling convicted. Sorry, I'm treating this a little bit like a personal journal, but I don't think that many people look at this thread, so hopefully it's OK 😆
There are a couple of people in my life that I really want to, through Christ in me and nothing else certainly, to talk about how Christianity is not just some spiritual alternate reality, but how it's true, life changing, and life giving. First though, I need the vocabulary, the arguments, and above all, to be completely certain of it myself. (I recognize that I myself am not eloquent nor good at convincing people, but that God can work through anyone. That gives me hope:)) I recently went through a period of time when I felt so tired and so worn down that I didn't care. My brain was NOT going to give me a pep talk and I didn't say much to God besides how black I was feeling inside. Before the battle starts again, I think I need to write something fairly short and comprehensible to the future doubting Catherine, to force her back to the true north. I need, I want, to get to the point where I am willing to die for my faith, because it's the truth. I never know when the bridegroom is coming home; I must be prepared.
Anyway, that was pretty long 😂 If anyone ever reads that ever, please let me know! It would be really awesome if you could tell me what you think:)

That is SO GOOD!! A quote my aunt has on her WhatsApp bio is "Faith isn't a feeling, it's a choice to trust." And I think it's such a good reminder. We can't simply rely on our emotions for how much faith we have. We have to know, and when we have doubts, we need to TRUST that the Bible is true and that God is so good! If God is good and true in the good periods of our life then we need to know that He doesn't change even when our circumstances cause us to view Him differently.

Very true!! That's a GREAT quote. I kind of want to add that to my bio- should I give credit to your aunt, someone else, or...? LOL 😂🤣 Amen!
Thank you for reading, Elisabeth ❤

“Faith isn't a feeling. It's a choice to trust God even when the road ahead feels uncertain.”
And as for credit, not my aunt, but I don’t know who it is so I guess no one. Lol. She doesn’t have the author on her bio.

Anyway, it's on the Fruit of the Spirit (https://gospelinlife.com/series/fruit...) and simply amazing. I'm slowly feeling exhaustion catch up to me, so I'll share more about it later, if just for myself:)

The first episode is here! https://podcast.gospelinlife.com/e/ho...
I listened to it yesterday and absolutely loved it. I think I'll have to listen to it again XD
