I read Flowers in paperback many years ago and Kemper remains #2 after Bundy as the most fascinating serial killers. Both left-handed as am I. Co-ed Killer by Margaret Cheney covers Ed and I have read twenty books on Ted, Ann Rule's the first and still the best.
It's Memorial Day and here is a war-themed crime, captioned thus:"Less than a month before I was born, 1973, my 2nd cousin came back from Vietnam with PTSD. His girlfriend saw that he had changed and wanted to break up. He pleaded with her by taking her out to the woods for a picnic. After the picnic, he took out a rifle from his truck and shot her dead then shot himself dead."

I heard a show on NPR this week talking to a stand-up comedian named Travis. The show was talking about the death penalty and legal/procedural errors related to that. Travis was talking about the effects on his family when they found out that his own brother was busted for serial murder. The brother -- who has since been executed -- is Timothy Spencer. The first Travis knew about it was when he came home to find his mom crying her heart out and clutching that day's newspaper. You can read about Timothy's exploits in Stalking Justice: The Dramatic True Story of the Detective Who First Used DNA Testing To Catch a Serial Killer:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6lsQv...

This is the image at NamUs on the page devoted to "Bones 20," who until this week was the last unidentified Green River victim. I thought it was rather moving and poetic. She is now identified as 16-year-old Tammie Liles.
