Good sleuthing!

I think I corrected them all back and I left librarian notes so they will hopefully remain so.

And also another librarian, a couple of days ago.
(I wish librarians would check in this group first before doing something as drastic as this. Also, if they believed the "plagiarized" claim, they should have referred the author or the matter to Support.)

I fully agree with all you said. There was also massive book cover changing against policy, both in 2022 and recently.

Just a question since in that thread I had moved her as the primary author since the book was not appearing in her profile (this was requested by the author), this was due to combined editions not having the same primary author, why would the plagiarizer be primary author? And I apologize for my mistake if you are referring to me above, I acted in good faith, but I didn't remove any covers, just had set the verified profile as primary since the book was not showing up in their profile, there is a bug that does that sometime, it looks like it appears in their profile now. I thought that was what was supposed to be done, I'm sorry.

The name that appears on the first edition to ever be published should be the primary author on all editions. Claims of plagiarization should not be handled by librarians, they should be referred to support.

The thing is, the books were not plagiarized. They were first published under Rebecca McNutt. The author later changed her name to Rebecca Maye Holiday and tried (is trying) to get rid of the old name.

For future reference, if actual plagiarism is suspected, the author/matter should be referred to Support, since it is a legal issue.
ETA I am basically saying the same as David, but with more words. Sorry about that :)

We do not claim that the books belong to anybody other than yourself.
Librarians have access to changelogs. This is what you wrote in your author profile in April 2021:
Rebecca Maye Holiday (born Rebecca Maye McNutt) is a Nova Scotian author and former top Canadian Goodreads reviewer. She is primarily known for her large debut occult fantasy novel Necromancy Cottage, or, The Black Art of Gnawing On Bones, as well as a large variety of short stories and smaller novellas. She was also known as one of the youngest authors in Canada to have a high volume of books published under her name. She formally renounced the use of her maiden name in 2021, and prefers to be known by her full legal name, Rebecca Maye Holiday.

Hahaha! It is what you wrote. Maybe you made your author profile up?

Thank you both David and lethe for clarifying the issue. I'll follow your advice from now on. I'm still learning, thank you again :)

So you deny that you changed your name from Rebecca Maye McNutt to Rebecca Maye Holiday?
Be careful how you answer.
