I'm about 50 pages in, Strand makes me chuckle. And read quickly!

So, I'm enjoying this as just a purely entertaining gorefest. I agree with Steven that Vincent D'Onofrio is a perfect Vic. And, this may sound crazy, but I'm picturing Jeff Strand as Corey. He is such a funny guy that it makes Corey's dialogue funnier (and less annoying, damn that guy asks a lot of stupid questions). Quinn is Helen Hunt, I don't know why, but that's what's happening in my head.

I like to visualize my characters when I read, but its cool when its celebrities, good picks Sally!

If I had to pick them in my head they'd match:

Vic- Vincent D'Onofrio ( perfect picks guys!)
Corey- Nicholas Hoult
Quinn -Linnea Larsdotter

@Kasia I had to look yours up but those 2 totally work for Corey and Quinn. I always picture people that are waaay older than they're supposed to be in books.

This book was definitely a gorefest - reminded me a lot of the book, Draculas that Strand co-wrote with Crouch, Wilson, and Kilborn.

I had two different people in my mind for two of the characters! lol But you all picked some good ones too.

Vic - Jack Nicholson

Corey - Jeff Strand (I agree with you Sally as I could see him writing himself in as a character as he is funny)

Quinn - Sandra Bullock (Sandra Bullock is very versatile when it comes to parts she plays - she can play just about anyone.)

@Marie Sandra Bullock stars in a lot of my books. And Jack Nicholson is a always a good villain.

I think Corey and Quinn were in their 20's or so, maybe 30 from what I gathered, they read very young to me. Vic sounded like someone who's been around for a while.

I just watched The Menu for the 3rd time recently so Hoult came to my mind immediately but I think I did picture Corey as him since I'm familiar with the actor.

I was thinking more 40ish or so but then we would have to make our celebrities younger in our minds too. lol :)

I love how everyone interprets the character in their mind a bit differently, fun to learn about that.

Corey was 31, and he guessed Quinn was mid-30s but wasn't sure. Just finished, helluva ending. It was for sure a quick and fun read!

You know how I get on the weekend! Nobody bother me, I'm reading! And this was such a quick read. Easy to zoom through!

Denis (deez_bookish_adventures) (denis_lamontagne) | 195 comments I'm a bit late, but I just finished this one up and I thought this was a really fun read! That always feels funny to say since we are talking about horror, and a rather brutal book at that, but it was also pretty upbeat and a bit humorous. So I guess it all balanced out - I gave this 4.5 Stars.

Netanella | 100 comments Yes, it was really fun! I read it also late - in early March or something - and it was a blast.

I sometimes feel weird saying a horror book is fun, but it seems to happen often. Especially when Jeff Strand is involved, that dude is a trip. Plus, we're all a bunch of weirdos, and I love that about us!
