Father Thomas Madden takes a confession from a man who claims he plans to murder the priest’s sister. He actually tapes the confession and delivers it to the police, forcing Father Thomas to discuss the details. Did you take the man seriously? Did you question whether Tommy’s sister Laurant was the actual target at the time?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments I thought that Tommy was the target. I thought the baddie wanted to make Tommy crazy knowing that Laurant was a target.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I took him seriously. I figured he had targeted Laurant and wanted Tommy to suffer knowing his sister was in danger.

The tone of that scene made me take it seriously. There was no doubt in my mind that he was serious and seriously deranged.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I never question that he was serious. Initially, I thought his plan was to use the sanctity of the confessional to tie Father Tom's hands while trying to protect his sister. When he released the tape, I thought this is one crazy killer.

~Melissa~ | 429 comments I believed the killer when he said Laurant was the target. He definitely wanted to make Tommy suffer. I agree with Sharon - I thought he was one crazy killer

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments I also took him seriously that killing Tommy's sister was worse than going directly after Tommy (exclusively).

I agree with all of you about taking him seriously. He was just a little too confident and gleeful. But, I thought he was trying to hurt Tommy through Laurant.
