Whose remains do you think was found in the fire and why?

That is a head scratchier! I would like to think it was Adeline's remains in the fire. However, I feel like Emmeline had more social skills than Adeline and if she had survived the fire, she would have wanted to retrieve her baby. This never happened and Adeline's mental health continued to decline. Ms. Winter took care of Adeline out of duty and love for Emmeline who was lost in the fire.

i believe emmeline died that night because if emmeline was saved then she would have definitely tried to retrieve her child but then again adeline/emmeline whoever was saved kept trying to find someone who was "buried(?)" so 🤷🏽‍♀️ it's more about the perspective of the person but personally I believe it's emmeline who died.
