I read my first random country:

1. Cambodia - The Map of Lost Memories (1/30/23) - A very interesting story about a quest for a lost temple.

3. Samoa - Pago Pago Tango (2/26/23)

4. Benin - Why Goats Smell Bad and Other Stories from Benin (2/21/23) - An excellent collection of folk tales from Benin

5. Greece - Love & Olives (3/6/23) - This is a great story of a young woman coming-of-age in unusual ways as she helps her father search for Atlantis in Santorini, Greece.

6. Rwanda -Baking Cakes in Kigali - This is an absolutely wonderful book about a woman and her life in modern Rwanda. Though terrible things have happened there, Angel is full of hope and promise for the future, and imbues her family and friends with that hope and also her wisdom.

7. Cyprus - Between the Orange Groves - This is an excellent story about two families who are very close, but then who allow the differences in their religions to come between them.
8. Senegal - The Abandoned Baobab: The Autobiography of a Senegalese Woman (8/9/23)

9. Suriname - The Riverbones: Stumbling After Eden in the Jungles of Suriname (10/25/23) - This is an excellent travel story from the author's time in Suriname. I learned a lot about this country from reading this book.

10. The Amsterdam Affair This was an excellent, quick reading romance, and it was very well-written


I was able to get only 10 read of my list. I will try harder in 2024.
