Runa (chaotic_moon) | 1125 comments Sure I'll delete them. And what if they used to know each other when they were younger but then grew apart since one of them discovered his/her true power before the other?

Runa (chaotic_moon) | 1125 comments The night was just beginning but in the "Rusted" tavern nobody was able to discern from day or night. Even Allen, who always have with him at least two clocks, had a certain difficult to keep track of time. He had been wandering around that town way too long and this was going to be his last time here, so why not try and have some fun before leaving to nowhere?

He was sitting on the corner of the room, far away from the other noisy clients and nosy looks. He had been there for more than three hours with only one cup of wine next to him and a piece of salty bread. The waitress didn't pay any attention to him, thankfully. She was always distracted by the people who called her ordering more drinks and more food, and also she had to deal with the drunkards throwing them out before they caused more trouble to place. It seemed that nobody wanted to bring attention from the police.

Filling up his cup with a small flick of his hand, Allen glanced around for the eleventh time, checking his surroundings. You're never sure what is lying underneath these people, right? It was a little difficult to do it though, since he was wearing a big worn cloak which covered almost all his body and face. After all these town had used to be his home.

The sound of someone footsteps alerted him and his overall vision focused in the person who was coming closer to him. It was a young woman, probably a little bit older than him, but that didn't change the fact that she was astoundingly beautiful... and a little drunk. Damn it. Everyone will start looking this way. Her clothes were somehow messy and gave her a promiscuous manner.

"Well, hello there mystery man. Whaat are you doing hiding away? Are you hiding away from meee?" she couldn't pronounce three words without slurring them. She took the seat in front of him and extended her arm. "Dearie, you should by all means call me Honey. It's my nickname."

Reluctantly Allen took her hand and shook it. "Name's Allen." He could already feel the stares from the men around him. It was clear they were jealous. Probably they would all gladly changed places with him... and he would accepted it without doubt. It had been hard but he was able to place "Honey". Phoebe Marsh had been one of those kids in town which believed themselves superior to everyone else. He had hated her then and he still did. Seems some people don't change with time. If he recalled it well, she was part of that stupid gang... A group of children too jealous and envious of the ones who were able to do "magic". He shuddered when he remember that time they chased him.

"So... Allen do you have a last name? Or where do you come from? I don't think I have seen you around here." A sigh almost escaped his lips when she mentioned she couldn't recognize him. That was good news. He had been afraid of coming to this town and being faced with someone who could remember his face. Luckily that didn't happen.

"My name is Allen Steele, I'm the son of a merchant so we travel a lot. You could say I don't belong to anywhere." Good, good. A little bit of truth mixed with lies. Allen felt proud of himself. He had been perfecting his lying act, as well as his magic abilities, but that doesn't come to the case.

"Alleeen Steelee... your name is booring. I'm bored. Bye bye Merchant Boy." And that was it. What an emotional reunion with Phoebe "Honey" Marsh. She walked to the front of the tavern with some others girls and their laugh bounced on the walls. He told himself it was better this way. It would mean trouble if she could recognize him. Imagine if the daughter of the chief police found out there was someone like Allen. It would mean instant death.

What should I do now? There's nothing that attaches me here so... I should better keep moving. Just when he had made his mind, a strong noise coming from outside made the "Rusted" tavern fell silent. Suddenly the doors opened violently and the police came through them. "Great" Allen muttered.

Everyone in the room went mute and watched the two police men who had interrupted their merry evening. Then one of them raised their hands and proclaimed "Don't worry folks. We just came to have fun. Keep doing what you were doing." Wariness still palpable in the atmosphere, the people in the tavern tried to go back to their chatting.

Allen didn't have to think twice to know that he had to get out of there quickly. He moved around the tables sneakily, walking towards the back door of the tavern. Every now and then he would check on the police men, but they were too interested in the waitress or "Honey" to noticed he was acting suspiciously.

Finally he found the door and right away after he had closed the door silently, he began his journey again.

Runa (chaotic_moon) | 1125 comments How long have he been walking? Allen took out one of his clocks and he calculated probably around three hours. He still wasn't tired though. He was accustomed to walk for long hours and it was better than riding a horse... Well, maybe it wasn't as fast, but at least his legs wouldn't get that sore.

Allen took a big breath and smiled to himself. Nothing like fresh air from the woods to calm his senses. In the cities or towns the noises were alien to him, but in the forest everything felt familiar. There was low chance for him to get lost since he had traveled around Waeryn almost the entirety of his life.

He glanced up, searching the moon in the sky but it was hard to find it. The rain clouds were still threatening with another short storm and the top of the trees didn't help either. Allen wouldn't mind some raindrops. He smiled happily, feeling free in his loneliness, obviously unaware of his company.

Allen's walk was often aimless and he hardly ever cared about not making noises. The woods' fauna had already covered him up. Letting his guard down, he removed his hood and the dim light of the night illuminated his face. He had dirty blonde hair, which hadn't been cut for awhile now, soft factions and big yellow eyes. They shone with curiosity and mischievousness.

In his unusual carelessness he tripped with a rock and tried to hold on to a branch. The crack was louder than he expected and rapidly he pull on his hood and he crouched waiting. He cursed himself for being incautious.

Runa (chaotic_moon) | 1125 comments Huh? A girl's voice? That was the last Allen would have expected to find in the middle of the forest at night. For a moment the thought of the police came to his mind, but that was clearly impossible. They never went too far from town unless they had a definite objective.

Already used to the poor illumination, his eyes found the source of the voice. Allen couldn't accurately describe her, she seemed to be average... except for the white hair. A strange feeling invaded him... more like a deja vu. He hardly ever came across with silver haired people.

Despite the fact that he had seen the knife's glint which she carried, Allen still felt curious. Maybe I am masochist... He shrugged and with a slick movement he took the long sword he carried hidden behind his back and pointed to the mysterious girl.

"Well, I think I could be counted as someone, right?" Allen said with a smile.

Well, that wasn't the reaction I expected, but what the hell. Allen withdrew his sword but kept it in hand, just in case. Up-close, the girl looked young, probably around his age, and her features were less than average than he had first thought. Silver-white hair and hypnotic purple eyes. He was tempted to ask her what she was doing here, but guessed that she would probably lie to him or evade the question. The girl gave him that kind of feeling.

"First of all, I wasn't creeping around. I'm just a normal guy who likes to have strolls at midnight. And you never know who might you encounter in these places, so it's a must to have some kind of precaution. Don't you think too?" Allen smiled and stared at the hand which was holding the dagger.

"And what's your story?" There weren't many chances on Allen's trip to tease someone, and since she hadn't attack him or run away from him, he decided he could have a little fun.

Runa (chaotic_moon) | 1125 comments Allen had encountered many people in his life and had learnt when people weren't telling all the truth. However, he wasn't going to push her to tell him something. No actual need to do so since he was also hiding the truth.

"I believe I'm quite capable of dealing with whatever tries to kill me, that's why I like to stray from the path and enjoy the hiding beauties of nature. And I'm not afraid to get lost or anything, I'm very good at orienting myself." Allen knew he was boosting and showing pride, but he didn't care.

He certainly was interested in her. There was something that made him ... you could say nostalgic. Allen didn't like that feeling. There's no good if you start to get attach to something, somewhere or even worse, someone. His curiosity would probably doom him one day.

"You're heading to the next town? Such a coincidence! I'm going there to spend the night and the next day keep travelling. Would you mind having a strolling companion for this wonderful starry night?" Allen's yellow eyes seemed to sparkle as he offered his unusual invitation.

Runa (chaotic_moon) | 1125 comments "Huh? You refused my invitation? Such a rude girl... You hurt my feelings..." Allen put a crushed face but it instantly blew it away. "Well, I don't really care what you say or what you do, neither should you."

Allen was a little disappointed but he didn't let it show. He sheathed his sword and covered his face with his hood. Maybe she wasn't that interesting in the end... Well, he couldn't actually blame her even if he wanted to. The girl seemed too cautious and aware of what he was doing and her own surroundings, ready to attack or run. He wondered if might be on the run, but he had learned you shouldn't ask that type of questions unless you want to be stab on the guts. Happened to him... twice...

Allen was going to continue his way when an idea struck him. "Hey, don't worry, I won't be your companion. After all I know that I have to respect a lady's space. However you made realized of the dangers of wandering away from the route, so I thought I'll stuck to it", when he finished, Allen smiled at her and jumped from the bushes to the marked path.
