so I was wondering if its possible to sort your read list by what version of the book you have marked as read, as an example like see only the hardcover books, or see all paperback books, or see all kindle books.

If you go to "My Books", under "Settings" there are options which include format.
is this available on the android app as well or only on the desktop version?

Librarians are volunteers who do the book cataloging & stuff like that.
