Carol She's So Novel꧁꧂ & this month Critterbee & I have decided to limit the nominations to just GH's pre- Regency romances. So that is the Georgian romances plus Beauvallet & The Masqueraders.

I won't do a nomination this month, since I do the polls I always get to do a nomination - which is a bit unfair.

& I will close the nominations when we get 5 nominations or in 3 days - whichever comes first.

So let the nominations begin!

sabagrey | 379 comments I love them all ... which should I nominate? Well ... let's say ...

The Talisman Ring

The Masqueraders!

I am planning to reread it soon, so it would be nice to read it with other fans ;-)

Barb in Maryland | 816 comments I'll nominate These Old Shades.

This is going to be tough for me as I love Masqueraders, Black Moth, Talisman Ring, and TOS!

Critterbee❇ (critterbee) | 2786 comments I will nominate
Powder and Patch / The Transformation of Philip Jettan

We have not read this since July 2016

Wow, has it really been that long?

I’m curious and a bit thick, I guess, but why is the list a spoiler? I’d think it would be helpful to see a list of those considered eligible for this vote, if someone is new to Heyer, the distinction between Georgian and Regency may be unclear, so they may hesitate to nominate.

Critterbee❇ (critterbee) | 2786 comments You are correct, the list is not a spoiler at all!

It is such a long list, that I put it in a spoiler tag to make it easily accessible and easy to hide. That way it will not take up too much space in the thread.

You are a smart cookie!

QNPoohBear | 1638 comments Hmm how about The Convenient Marriage? We haven't read that since 2017 and most people seem to like it.

Ok, that is five nominations. I'll close this thread while I set up a poll.

Carol She's So Novel꧁꧂ & the poll is up!

https://www.goodreads.com/poll/show/2...

& it is also on our home page.

I'll just mention that the Transformation of Philip Jettan was the original title for Powder & Patch & had a different ending. :)

Carol She's So Novel꧁꧂ Bump!
This poll will be ending soon.

Crazy About Love 💕 | 27 comments I vote for “These Old Shades”
Would love to read that one again, as it’s probably at least a decade since I last read it 📖

Carol She's So Novel꧁꧂ & the poll has closed - & the result was a tie.

So we will do what we have started doing in recent times & read them both.

Critterbee will lead the read of The Talisman Ring in March & I will lead These Old Shades in April.

I'm excited about this as TOS is my second favourite Heyer - & I love TTR as well! :)
