I want to try to start this one today, but my goal is to finish the other book that I'm reading first before I start this, and I'm pretty close to finishing that other book, so I should be able to do it.

I've read the first 5 chapters of this, and it's interesting so far.

Mim (view spoiler)[is a cute nickname for her real name. I like it. She definitely made the wrong decision to go and not tell anyone. (hide spoiler)]

Letters are a good way to (view spoiler)[ get insight into her thoughts. I like them and how she is trying to convey what's important to her. (hide spoiler)]

stepmom and mom are (view spoiler)[fighting over something that is evidently important to her bio mom, I think. I want to know why, if stepmom knew her mom was sick, would she be so heartless to ignore her letters. (hide spoiler)]

It's starting to get more interesting to me.

Iz/Isabel (view spoiler)[ is obviously a concern for Mim's parents, her dad in particular. It sounds like her aunt was mentally ill. I wonder if that illness is schizophrenia. (hide spoiler)]

The bus (view spoiler)[accident was so unexpected to me. It would be pretty awful to be in an accident like that and lose a new "friend" or just see anyone die. Mim didn't seem to be truly upset or traumatized. Do you see it differently? (hide spoiler)]

Mim is pretty (view spoiler)[resourceful, I think. At least she tries to assertive, like when she calls the office about the wake-up call. (hide spoiler)]

I am on again off again about how much I like this one. I am putting it aside for tonight and watching a TV show because I think I'm just not connecting...too tired, I think.

Yep, I think I might put this one aside for now because I tried to read a little bit more, and I'm having trouble really getting into this one right now. I guess I just don't feel connected to it, like you said.

I plan to finish this one today. I'm exactly 50% d one and it's due today, so I may as well finish it. That'll be one more down for my 200 book goal. LOL

I finished this and I'm really glad that I did! I almost actually gave it a 5 LOL but decided not to because of my disconnect with the first part of the book, which I know think was my own fault.

You don't find out about the letter until the VERY end of the book, so for a minute there I thought it was going to end a mystery. LOL

I ended up loving the relationships between the characters and let me say that I LOVE unexpected things in books. I am glad now that I read and finished it.I hope you like it if you decide to finish it, too.

Mim: (view spoiler)[ I like her already and too see that she has struggles with mental illness is hard for anybody and i like how she deals with it and she´s going to go see her mom who is sick and I i think she is going to be a good character. (hide spoiler)]

Arlene: (view spoiler)[ I really liked her she was sweet and everything and i was so sad when she died when she was going to go visit her nephew and i was so sad and i hope she can give the box that she left be hide and take it to her Nephew. (hide spoiler)]

The trip: (view spoiler)[ On the trip so far has been interesting with the people and the bus drive until the crash and i wonder which new people she is going to meet. (hide spoiler)]

New Friends: (view spoiler)[ So there was the guy with the camera which I think is the love interest maybe I don't know yet and now we meet walter who has down syndrome and the cutest kid ever even though he is 15 or 16 he is so nice and cute, Then there is Caleb who I don't like because I think he is a criminal or a psychopath that was going to steal Walter money so good for them for running. Arlene's box: (view spoiler)[ So Mim got of the bus and has a mission to give this box to Ahab which is Arlene nephew who has a gas station is Independence, Alabama and she went to so many gas stations until she couldn't find any but while they were running they ran to one and I think the owner is Ahab. Beck: (view spoiler)[ I really like Beck I think he is such a sweetheart and really cares for Mim and Walt but for Mim a little more which is cute but he has some issue's of his own and I felt so bad when his adoptive sister didn't remember him which was sad but I hope everything works out for him. The letters: (view spoiler)[ These letters I like because she writes them down and talks to her aunt Iz and I wonder if she is every going to send them to her or keep them so she can remember this trip. (hide spoiler)]

Mim: (view spoiler)[ I feel proud of Mim because she did so many stuff and passed so many detours and saved people but overall even with her illness she is not taking the pills and she is living her life and falling in love which is cute but overall I feel very proud. (hide spoiler)]

Mim: (view spoiler)[ I felt so proud and honoured to see Mim all grown up she went through a lot in this book by writing letters to her unborn sister to meeting Walter and Beck but the most heartbreaking one of all is that when she was 6 she saw her aunt hang herself which was really sad. The breaking news: (view spoiler)[ So throughout this book there have been a lot of talk about the breaking news in capital letters and I thought it was when her parents divorce or something but no because her dad which I don't like cheated on her mom and got Kathy pregnant which I feel Mim pain I would be upset too and I can't believe he would do something like that. The mom: (view spoiler)[ We finally got to see the mom who we all thought was sick from a disease or something but no she is in a rehabilitation center for dugs and alcohol and we don't know which one it is but my heart broke there heartwarming reunion and I hope in the future they see more of each other. I really want a sequel to this book but I know it's a stand-alone and everything but hopefully they might be a sequel or like a spin-off
