Owen did seem broken up about Holly's death. I wasn't suspicious of his behavior, but I was still leaving my options open with him.

True. Now I wonder if he was as drunk as he seemed when Bree notified him about his wife's death. Maybe some of that was an act too.
I didn’t see any reason to suspect him but after he notified so many people that she’d committed suicide, I got a little scratchy about him.

To me, he was simply reiterating what Oscar had told him.
