These both sound perfect -- thank you!
What genres are you looking for?? I have read extensively in a science fiction and somewhat in fantasy and can think of several in those veins
You may like "The Rosie Project" by Graeme Simsion https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1... I consider the first half of the book a masterpiece, then it levels to a good book
Running with Scissors is hilarious and true, AND there's a movie based on the book which is actually pretty darn spot-on.
You might enjoy some of the novels by Steve Martin, particularly The Pleasure of My Company ,Shopgirl and An Object of Beauty

Carousel Court by Joe McGinnis
Swimming with Jonah by Audrey Schulman
The Tribes of Palos Verdes by Joy Nicholson
God-Shaped Hole by Tiffanie DeBartolo
Swimming by Joanna Hershon
The Passenger by Lisa Lutz
Breathing Water by T. Greenwood
