Teena Dunn | 17 comments Hi Deity,

I'm seeking advanced reader comments and reviews for my novel, "At the Crest of the Hill", to be released this September.

An extraordinary spiritual journey, mystery, and legal thriller. You will think deeply and laugh out loud. God admits he was wrong and a change is coming.

Rocket, a seeker, is new to Heaven, having recently died at the age of fifteen. She is cynical and irreverent. Her perspective is swayed by immaturity. She just wants to go home. Why can’t mankind take care of its freakin’ self? Van Buren is as old as the ages and a resourceful groog for the Kingdom of Adeez. He is cruel and mindless. His perspective is blunted by his Master’s commands. He just wants to cause pain and watch the glowing, dancing televizun box. Both spirits set out on a reluctant journey to influence and transform Phoenix Atherton, a woman at the lowest point of her life. But it is Phoenix who has the influence, and the spirits who are transformed. You will laugh, think, and feel—a condition The Master holds in low regard.

I can provide a pdf, or the NetGalley link is below.

Best,
Teena

Reina Sasaki (reina1306) | 15 comments Dear Deity,

I am offering now the ARC of the upcoming novel THIS SHAPE IS MY HEART. The Epub, Mobi, or PDF are ready for you to enjoy instantly. Paperback would be avaliable from this May 29.

SYNOPSIS — “Your origamis, they were the shapes of your heart,” Airi said to her closest friend, Kotori.

Kotori sent the crane origami on New Year’s Day. Receiving the origami, Sae, who had come from Tokyo to see her, was dazzled by it. Suspicious of this visitor’s motive, Airi began to investigate and discovered Sae’s dark past, and the danger she might represent them.

“I am the person without a heart,” said the girl from Tokyo.

Airi tried to warn her friend in countless ways.

But Kotori refused to listen, and she said to Sae. “I want to fold origami for you.”

This Shape Is My Heart is a novel about possibilities. It explores the volatility of affection among young friends and fascination with those special people that sometimes capture our attention out of nowhere. A narrative about LOYALTY, FRIENDSHIP, CURIOUSITY, and LOVE in all its complexities, the novel will draw in readers by making them rethink and re-evaluate both their closest relationships and those evasive ones that ended too soon.

Jessica Clancy (httpsyoutubecomjessicaclan) | 22 comments Greetings,

I would be honored if you could preview my book The Quest for Family written by Jessica Clancy a first time author. If interested I can mail you a copy.

About my story The Quest for Family

Per statistics intact marriages are declining and children are suffering the outcomes from the brokenness in our society. My story came from a place of brokenness but that did not determine my worth and who I am today. With the help of faith and others love, support and guidance I was able to overcome and build the family I never had. I was not only able to build the family I wanted but build not one career but two careers that warrant helping others and giving back.

Not everyone has the perfect family and many of us have suffered setbacks but I want Woman and young Ladies to know that those setbacks don’t define them and they can overcome and persevere. To learn and understand the setbacks in a way to help them grow and not repeat the same cycle. My faith gave me the strength each day to move forward in achieving the vision I had as others were Gods hands and feet that helped me. As others helped me, I hope to share and help give others hope thru my story The Quest for Family.

As the reader journeys on their own quest while reading my book, many will find themselves in one aspect of my story. There is self discovery, faith, healings, miracles, dreams and visions and answered prayers as I built the family I never had growing up.

The journey of self discovery may be traced through many parts of the world including Germany, Bermuda, Europe, Mexico, many US states and the great state of Texas.

It is a faith-based book and if you would like a free book please provide information that I use to send it to you. There is a sample on Amazon kindle. I pray as you read it God will bless you and reveal his purpose in your lives as he brings you to a place of your own discovery, light and freedom.

I look forward to hearing back from you soon and hopefully you may join me on the quest as you may blog and share my story, our story with others. I would love if you joined me on a quest of faith, hope, love, and perseverance

With Gratitude,

Michael Calabrese | 23 comments Hi Diety-
You'll find deities here!

I hope you'll take a look at my new book, Bracan's Daughter, now available on Amazon. This book combines fantasy/magic (ancient druids) with a modern British crime/mystery novel.

I've got a really good trailer here on my author's page or you can find it on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Kwbv...

I'd be happy to send you the paperback! It's also available for FREE on Kindle Unlimited. I've had 5 reviews - all 5 Stars, including one from Goodreads.

This is a dark British mystery thriller with a HUGE twist.

Two Thousand years ago, the Druids of ancient Glastonbury forged a sword of power for their prince. The blade held curses for his enemies, the jewel in the pommel, a giant ruby held in a bronze falcon’s claw, held their blessings. Armed with his sword, the prince defeats the Gael (Irish invaders), and the sword is taken apart and hidden to make the peace. Gael Druids reject the peace and murder the prince and want the sword for themselves. Denied their prize, they swear to search forever until it is theirs. To protect the pommel, the Druids of Glastonbury send their most talented child two thousand years into the future to hide the Stone in the Claw at Stonehenge for the one destined to find it.

Janyce Bracan was born to find the stone, although she doesn’t know it. She finds it. She Loves It. SHE FEARS IT! And she’s running for her life as soon as it’s hers.

This is a story about faith, power, and vengeance, and those who’ve waited in silence for the return of the Stone in the Claw for centuries. Ancient hatreds play themselves out in modern times as the descendants of British and Irish Druids hunt for the stone and the girl who found it. Bracan’s Daughter combines a sword & sorcery tale with a modern 21st Century British police mystery novel as two worlds collide - tied together by faith, magic, and murder.

Jeffrey Ogochukwu (rioflash) | 2 comments Would a thriller/horror novel interest you?

Here's a little about my book, Stay Away:
Twenty-five years ago, Kevin’s parents were brutally murdered. Two decades later, Kevin is forced to watch helplessly as his fiancée suffers torture at the hands of the same murderer.

Never fully recovering from the trauma, he moves to a new city, hoping to start his life anew, leaving his devastating past behind. But things don’t go as planned when he meets Natasha—the daughter of an officer hunting for his kind.

They soon discover the battered corpse of a missing detective assigned to investigate the murder of his fiancée, which signals a new danger. However, when the horror from his past returns, Kevin is forced to stay away from Natasha—or watch her fall victim to a ghoul who takes pleasure in tormenting him.

E.B. Hauk | 11 comments Hi, Deity, I saw you were a horror fan. I'd be honored to have you review my upcoming psychological horror, dark comedy, and drama novel, the Perilous Awakening of Johnny Hazard.

Synopsis: 1986--OSU assistant coach Johnny Hazard is a man who has everything: the woman of his dreams, a recently remodeled Dutch Colonial home, and a budding Benadryl habit. But when his wife, Janet, leaves him to "find herself," Johnny's Benadryl abuse grows out of control, and his nightmares follow him into the daylight. Reality melts, and he's introduced to the world behind the world, meeting a cast of wayward characters who know what he knows, and offer a safe harbor from the storm of his life. But Johnny craves terror, and his downward spiral tightens as he examines a growing sickness within society and himself.

The Perilous Awakening of Johnny Hazard is a deconstruction of the every man dedicated to the horrors of human existence, isolation, self-loathing, and everything we keep hidden. The supernatural terrors that haunt his step mirror his internal struggles. Watch a human dumpster fire in action.

Note: Some readers may find the content matter to be spicy or extreme, but it isn't gratuitous or gory, and nothing in it is done for shock's sake. Our main character's actions are symptomatic of his emotional illiteracy and desperate need for a genuine connection as his life implodes and his inner demons come home to roost. Mental health, sexuality, gender-identity, codependency, and loneliness are all themes. Even the impacts of Reaganism are briefly examined.

Content Warnings: Some (Non-Graphic) Sex, Swearing, Drug Use, Addiction, Brief Mention of Suicide

If you're interested, message me here and I'd be happy to send you the ebook in exchange for your email so I can send a few reminders as the release date nears.

Mary Van Winkle (mary_vanwinkle) | 13 comments Hi!

I wanted to ask if you'd be interested in reviewing my self-published book Finding Wonderland? It's been unavailable for a few years while I revised it and I'm planning to re-release the book in November. I'd love some honest, early reviews before then, good or bad!

It's about Lucy Dunne, a down on her luck twenty-something, who goes home for her little sister's New Years Eve wedding. Instead, while visiting local legend Holland Hotel, she's transported back in time during the last week of 1914- right before the infamous inferno that burned the hotel down. The longer she stays in the hotel, the stronger her bond to the place and the mysteriously Alice In Wonderland-like residents' hold on her grows. Lucy must get back to her own time or figure out a way to help before she's caught in the disaster too.

It is a fantasy adventure with a touch of romance and comedy. There are many characters inspired by characters found in Alice In Wonderland but you don't have to love those books to enjoy Finding Wonderland which is an easy read at 259 pages . I'd love it if you're interested in reviewing it (but I understand if you pass). I can send it to you as a word doc or pdf and I'll be more than willing to mention you in my acknowledgments.

Thanks for considering,

Mary

It came out just a few days ago, so it's only got a few reviews so far, but they're all good. Text Chain Here's what one person had to say on Amazon.
"Dare I say it’s my best read of 2025? Yep. Gonna say it and stick to it. I was captured by Sarah instantly. She’s got a hard past but willing to work hard for a different life and future for herself. She’s a college Freshman just wanting that college life when she erroneously gets added to a wrong text chain. It’s brilliantly funny, raw and real. A quick read. Buy it now and you’ll have a wonderful weekend reading it!!!"

Hi, Deity. Thank you for your kind offer. I write reviews myself, so I appreciate the effort and time that goes into creating them.

I'd love a review of the second Kincaid Saga book and follow-up to GOLD! Feargus is a prequel, so you can still enjoy this tale even if you haven't read the first in the series.

Here’s a brief blurb:
Feargus Kincaid is a down-to-earth working-class Aussie bloke. He wouldn’t hurt a fly—or would he?
When his girlfriend is attacked by three thugs, he and his best mate mete out their own form of rough justice, setting in train a series of events that will propel them into the shady world of gangsters, protection racketeers, and The Mafia. In the 1940s and 50s, life in Australia was simple. Feargus is about to see how complicated it can get.

A violent confrontation resulting in severe injuries leaves him reliant on painkillers. Despite his best intentions, Feargus finds himself drawn into a life of crime and drug addiction from which escape seems impossible. With the help of his friend and partner in crime, Paddy, he struggles to attain redemption for himself and a secure future for his sons, Malcolm and Jamie.

Sometimes, however, Fate has other ideas.

Feargus is written for lovers of gritty fiction and 20th-century drama. Any and all reviews, long or short, will be most welcome. Even a simple star rating if you prefer.

And yes, it is available on KU if you happen to subscribe. Here's a link:

If you'd prefer me to send an ARC, message me here or email me at thomasgreenbank888@gmail.com and I'll reply with an EPUB or PDF.

Thanks again. Thomas.

Mary Perez | 28 comments Hi there!

I am on a quest to get 500 book reviews, and I could use your help!

If you're a fan of Jeannette Walls and Esmeralda Santiago, you'll probably enjoy reading my story. My memoir, When I Was Puerto Rican, meets The Glass Castle.

“Running in Heels: A Memoir of Grit and Grace” is the journey of a coming-of-age Puerto Rican girl seeking love and security with her difficult mother in an impoverished home, who becomes a teenage bride to a ruthless man twice her age. She has her first child at seventeen and her fourth at twenty-two. Can she overcome insurmountable obstacles of poverty, racism, alcoholism, violence, and abandonment while hope is shattered time after time?

I wrote this book to show that, contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to be a product of your environment. Your past does not define who you are.

By the way, my memoir is currently being translated into Spanish!
