Lila LaBine (lilalabine) | 26 comments Prepared to Publish is the six-week course I’ve created for newer authors who plan to complete their own final edits due to budget constraints. I am super excited to help these fiction writers feel confident about self-publishing or querying.

What will you learn?
✅ How to cut the repetition & the unnecessary from your manuscript
✅ How to check for sentence structure and verb use that might confuse or annoy your readers
✅ How to improve and correctly punctuate your dialogue
✅ How to use a style sheet to ensure consistency and catch contradictions in your manuscript
✅ The most crucial punctuation, hyphenation, and capitalization rules
✅ How to “clean up” your manuscript

What’s included in the course?
✨ An initial 1:1 meeting with me to plan out your manuscript’s specific needs regarding its final edits
✨ 5 thirty-minute video lessons
✨ Homework assignments (You’ll apply that week’s lesson to a sample of your manuscript, and I’ll give you feedback.)
✨ A final 1:1 meeting with me to review the self-editing you’ve accomplished so far and discuss what more you might want to do
✨ Unlimited email access to me throughout the six weeks
✨ Accountability, encouragement, and advice
