yes you can understand haunting adeline without Satan's affair!! if you want to understand zade and sybil's relationship better you should read Satan's affair but not necessary!! (also i enjoyed Satan's affair it was so unhinged i loved sybil)

Hi, I actually only read the first three chapters of satans affair before I got to that chapter in Haunting Adeline. It definitely helps to give context and understand Sibil more even just reading the first few chapters!
