this was me with the first 2 books from the darkest minds series 😭 i just got so attached to the characters and the whole story i still can’t move on from those two and i’m already on the third book

Yes!, but for this feeling to affect me it must have been a great book from which I will not be able to recover for a long time.
It happened to me for example with "The Song of Achilles" and WOW what happened to me with "The Hunger Games" god I felt very empty. sometimes I have to take up to a few weeks (or months) to recover.
