Not until Scorch Trials. It started feeling a bit...I don't know, forced in a way. I still enjoyed Scorch Trials (though not as much as Maze Runner) and I found Death Cure really dull.
it was a few chapters into The Scorch Trials when i was lost a bit. i actually had to put down the book for a really long time and only came back to it after going to see the Maze Runner movie. Both TST and TDC were relatively painful for me to get through since i feel like all of the excitement and the story line that we got to develop in the first one just fell short in the following 2.
Just The Scorch Trials in general. It felt redundant. C'mon, we just read an entire book about how they went through an experiment that they knew nothing about but could kill them with ease. Do we really need another?
I'm 2/3 into 'TKO' and I like this prequel a lot better than TST and TDC. Hoping that it has an okay ending!

Really, the only reason she died was so Brenda and Thomas could end up together and everything would be perfect without her messing their relationship up. (WHICH IN MY OPINION SHOULD NEVER HAVE HAPPENED BECAUSE I SHIP THOMESA SO HARD, BUT THAT IS BESIDE THE POINT) I think Dashner gave up on the ending and I just didn't feel as connected to the last two books as I did to The Maze Runner. (Also, the movie adaptation sucked. I was watching it for the first time with a friend and I kept having to pause it and explain to her what actually happened in the book. It just made me confused and I doubt the director even read the actual book)
Omg. The director is a fan of the books just as much as you. I thought it was great. People could have said the same about the directors of the hunger games, divergent and Harry potter not reading the book when they made those movies. Wes Ball did a fantastic job.
Where did it all go wrong? Thomas would have been killed, he should have been the hero who helps WICKED. Now the world is full of Cranks/Shanks/Zombies . Why? because he wants a life with the beautiful brenda.
JUST KIDDING
He should find a way to remove all the Cranks/Shanks/Zombies from the world.

For me it was the last pages of the first book when they were transported to that building. That didn't really fit in the book, they should have kept that part for the second book. Riding over the woman was good enough for me.
