For as long as I can remember, I’ve been the girl who didn’t fit in, the girl who collapsed in the middle of class, just because my brain decided to turn on me. I can’t really complain, though. We don’t live in the Middle Ages, so I have yet to be subjected to an exorcism. I can get treatment for my condition. Epilepsy aside, I can mostly be a normal person and have a normal life.

There’s just one problem. I’m not a normal person. I never have been. And the first time I find this out is upon receiving an exclusive invitation to The Academy of the Devil.

Unfortunately, the Academy of the Devil isn’t like other schools and the current princes of the school have a lot of experience in ripping whatever contender they have to shreds. First, there’s Callum, incubus extraordinaire and leader of the house of Lust. He thrives on making students fall in love of him and then breaking their spirits. Then there’s Mikael, the envious cambion, rumored to enjoy feeding students to the school’s dragon. And last, but not least, the leader of the house of Wrath, the hell hound Stefan. I hear he doesn’t bother with the dragon and just takes care of pests himself.

All of them despise humans. All of them sneer at anyone who displays any kind of weakness. All of them hate me and everything I stand for. That’s fine. I don’t need friends, lovers, or even valued mentors. All I need is to survive my school years with my soul, my sanity and my brain intact.

It’ll be a challenge, but I’ve dealt with worse. I might not be ready for the Academy of the Devil, but they’re not ready for me either.

The Academy of the Devil is a paranormal bully reverse harem romance. All characters involved in the pairing are 18+ years old. But be advised! The series will contain dark themes, including violence, ableism, bullying of a character suffering from an invisible disability, and other similar content that may be disturbing for some readers. 1% I didn't know going into this that the main character has epilepsy. As a person with epilepsy, that prologue accurately represented what it is like if you have epilepsy. When she was talking about going to the doctor, and they repeatedly asked her the same questions, that hit a little too close to home. This is also the first book that I have read where epilepsy is represented, and I love this book even more for that.

Oh wow that's actually pretty cool you can relate. I love real feeling and sounding characters. The only thing I didn't love was how the heroine would keep her epilepsy a secret but I get why she did and why she had to, just was hoping it'd be like her super power or something!

60% (view spoiler)[ This girl is frustrating me so much right now. I wish I could just go in the book and shake her by the shoulders and talk some sense to her lol. She has been saying that she doesn't want to be a couple with them because she thinks it would be hard to be in a relationship with somebody that looks down on her species which I agree but then they take her to the schoolmance thing and they touch her one time and all of a sudden she wants to sleep with them but then they get interrupted and after they get interrupted she's like yeah I don't know if I can trust them but she was just about to sleep with them and then the chapter ends with her saying if they thought they could win her over so quickly they had another thing coming but if they didn't get interrupted she would have had sex with them lol. And can we talk about the fact that the guys told her beforehand that they didn't expect her to have sex with them but then they pulled that at the schoolmance thing. Also, was it just me but I thought that whole chapter was so corny with the dialogue? Sorry for the rant but I am just so frustrated by this girl right now and I'm not really a fan of the guys either. (hide spoiler)]

I had a feeling that was where the ending was going to go but I wasn't certain about it. I'm probably not going to continue on with the series just because I was so mad and frustrated while reading this book and that was taking away my enjoyment from reading and I feel like that's how this whole series is going to make me feel. Haha, life at the academy was quite shocking, but I loved it xD But then I have a bit mixed feelings after her seizure - everyone thought that she was a weekling and bullied her. And even killed her dog O.O I was happy she could save him but I don't know. I expected something else to happen, not this. But I still liked this. (hide spoiler)]

But I wondered if that's more common to happen in this genre and it seems so then. Well I didn't find that too disturbing, it was easier to buy because they were demons and so. Or at least for me that was the reason why it was easier to understand compared with the situation when humans would have done the same. (hide spoiler)]
