☆ ĄňŊǡƂėƮĦ ☆ ŞŧŎŋė (I'm in a lot too many right now sorry)

Aria looks at the time and sees that they have been here for awhile and she stands up. "Should we go to a motel or something?" she asked since she was getting tired.

Applejaxc | 1003 comments (Well keep it in mind. It's a good story)

"We don't know if the enemy is sophisticated enough to track us by credit card usage, so... I mean, life-or-death, I wouldn't mind sleeping in a car."

☆ ĄňŊǡƂėƮĦ ☆ ŞŧŎŋė (okay)

Aria said, "Good idea." She would much rather be uncomfortable than being with the enemies. They then walked out to the car.

Applejaxc | 1003 comments Theodore followed her. "Uh... Do you want to sleep in the front or back?" When they were safely shielding by the car, he drew his pistol to figure out how to remove the magazine for counting. Leaves something to be desired, he thought dismally.

☆ ĄňŊǡƂėƮĦ ☆ ŞŧŎŋė "I'll just sit in the back if you don't mind," Aria said to him thinking that it was nice of him to ask her. She took off her jacket to lay on her as she curled up on the seat next to the door. She was very tired and even though it wasn't that comfortable, she knew that she would be able to go to sleep.

Applejaxc | 1003 comments Theodore decided to sit in the driver's seat, keys in the ignition (but off) in case of emergency. He reclined the seat, cross his arms, and closed his eyes.
But he had trouble sleeping. Sometime later he broke the silence: "How did you imagine tonight?"

☆ ĄňŊǡƂėƮĦ ☆ ŞŧŎŋė Aria propped her head on her hand against the door handle. She thought about it for a second. Then, "I don't know. I thought that I would get to see the shows and possibly get some inspiration for my next romance novel but maybe I'll right an action adventure one," she said with a laugh. "What about you?"

message 159: by Applejaxc (last edited Mar 17, 2015 01:10PM) (new)

Applejaxc | 1003 comments "I figured I'd read some hate-emails then go to bed." He shrugged even though she couldn't see it. "Maybe watch some TV in between. I predicted the Mac-Donalds right."

☆ ĄňŊǡƂėƮĦ ☆ ŞŧŎŋė Aria smiled and asked him, hoping that he didn't mind, "What about your books do people not like? I heard them talking about you copying from other sources but that isn't a good reason."

message 161: by Applejaxc (new)

Applejaxc | 1003 comments "There's a couple things, I guess. Unrelatable characters, hamfisted metaphors and allegories. Theft. Simple writing. Linear plot. I've heard quite a few reasons."

☆ ĄňŊǡƂėƮĦ ☆ ŞŧŎŋė "Still, they should give it a chance. Its probably pretty good if you were able to make these characters," she said thinking about Saftey Net and the others.

message 163: by Applejaxc (new)

Applejaxc | 1003 comments "Or maybe they're the product of drug-fueled revisionist history, and they've opted to fill in my many plot holes and empty characters for me in their quest to... whatever the Hell they think they're doing."

☆ ĄňŊǡƂėƮĦ ☆ ŞŧŎŋė Aria smiled at what he said. She laid her head back on her arm and asked him, "Do you ever regret writing those books since not many people like them?" She tried to imagine how she would feel if her book hadn't been a success.

message 165: by Applejaxc (last edited Mar 17, 2015 01:37PM) (new)

Applejaxc | 1003 comments "No." Theodore shrugged again. "I didn't write them for many people."

☆ ĄňŊǡƂėƮĦ ☆ ŞŧŎŋė "I tried to not but I think that I will be influenced on my next book because of my first," she said sadly.

message 167: by Applejaxc (new)

Applejaxc | 1003 comments "Pandering to the lowest common denominator sells. Look at video games and television. Anything smarter than Break Bad is hated and pop music has children frothing at the mouths. I have the distinct advantage of never fearing financial ruin, however."

☆ ĄňŊǡƂėƮĦ ☆ ŞŧŎŋė "I know that is why I tried to make my book different than all of the other sappy romance novels and movies. I hoped that my small contribution might help everyone by making them surprised and think about the story more," she said.

message 169: by Applejaxc (new)

Applejaxc | 1003 comments "So you tried to be special just to impress people? At the least I can claim I'm not that base. No offense."

☆ ĄňŊǡƂėƮĦ ☆ ŞŧŎŋė "No of course not. I would never do that but I feel that it might be hard to not think about it for at least a second. And I do take offense," she said annoyed and she closed her eyes to go to sleep.

message 171: by Applejaxc (new)

Applejaxc | 1003 comments "I just... write what's true." Theodore decided not to press her further.

The next day came. Theodore woke. He was a bit cold, and a little hungry. He sat up to stretch his arms, then set the chair right. "Are you awake yet?" he half-whispered, checking over his shoulder.

☆ ĄňŊǡƂėƮĦ ☆ ŞŧŎŋė Aria heard Theodore talk to her and she sat up since she wasn't in that deep of a sleep. She stretched and groaned as she felt her sore muscles. "Yeah," she said hoarsely. She tried to get more comfortable to help her aching limbs but couldn't.

message 173: by Applejaxc (new)

Applejaxc | 1003 comments "You want a Mac-Donalds breakfast or do you want to try finding something more up scale?"

☆ ĄňŊǡƂėƮĦ ☆ ŞŧŎŋė "Do you think that we can find somewhere else? I can pay," she said.

message 175: by Applejaxc (new)

Applejaxc | 1003 comments "I only know the city as well as you do right now." Theodore fished around in his pocket until he could slide his phone out. "I can check Goo-and my phone's dead."

☆ ĄňŊǡƂėƮĦ ☆ ŞŧŎŋė "I'm sure we'll find something," she said cheerfully not even going to bother to check her phone since it had died last night.

message 177: by Applejaxc (new)

Applejaxc | 1003 comments "Alright." Theodore turned the engine over. "At least they put plenty of gas in this." He pulled onto the road, thankful for light morning traffic, after she buckled herself in. "I'm hoping for an IHOP."

message 178: by ☆ ĄňŊǡƂėƮĦ ☆ (last edited Mar 17, 2015 05:27PM) (new)

☆ ĄňŊǡƂėƮĦ ☆ ŞŧŎŋė "Me too. I haven't there in a while but their pancakes are really good," Aria said and if on cue, her stomach growled. She laughed and she watches for one in the town. For awhile she doesn't see one but as she keeps looking she sees one down the road. "There's one Theodore," she said pointing.

message 179: by Applejaxc (new)

Applejaxc | 1003 comments "Pancakes? I'm getting a cheeseburger with onion rings. IHOP does that right?"
While they drive, Theodore opted to tune into the radio.

"... Ah yes Bob, it appears the assailants have in fact been caught. The Tsung-Ki-Shek had an advanced interrogater on scene soon after. Early this morning the arrested man and woman cracked and revealed the hiding place of war criminal Theodore Ackabecker and his accomplice....

☆ ĄňŊǡƂėƮĦ ☆ ŞŧŎŋė "I don't know. I haven't been there in a while and when I had been there, I only got breakfast," she said but stopped to listen to the news. "We are now war criminals? That is a major overstatement considering we were the ones caught in the crossfire," Aria said.

message 181: by Applejaxc (new)

Applejaxc | 1003 comments "Sh!" Theodore turned the ready to, bit of flipped to commercial. In irritation he clicked the ready off. "They talked like the Tsung are heroes. Theyre amoral tyrants bent on-and they aren't even real! Has the entire world gone mad as we slept?!"

☆ ĄňŊǡƂėƮĦ ☆ ŞŧŎŋė "It seems like it," Aria said quietly. She thought about how all of this must look to the people who have no idea that it is the other way or that they are actually from a book. Soon they pull into the parking lot and Aria gets out of the car.

message 183: by Applejaxc (new)

Applejaxc | 1003 comments Theodore didn't get out when she did. He sat, staring at the center of the steering wheel, without turning off the car, for a solemn minute before joining her. "...they aren't even real," he mumbled to himself, deep in the throes of a passionate argument with himself "...but the news certainly reported like they were real..." He stuffed his fists in the pockets of his hoodie and walked quickly across the lot to the IHOP without regard for Aria.

☆ ĄňŊǡƂėƮĦ ☆ ŞŧŎŋė Aria saw that he was waiting in the car and stopped for him. Then he sped up and went right past her. "Thanks" she muttered under her breath. Aria walked quickly to the IHOP and got to the door just as it closed behind Theodore. They sat down at a table and Aria looked around the restaurant and thought how none these people understood or knew the truth about anything that was going on. Aria then looked at the menu and decided on plain pancakes with fruit.

message 185: by Applejaxc (new)

Applejaxc | 1003 comments Unfortunately, they had to wait for a waiter to be seated, but they were sat relatively quickly.

"...so, what are we going to do today?"

☆ ĄňŊǡƂėƮĦ ☆ ŞŧŎŋė "I don't know. I was thinking about finding a way to get back," Aria said. She thought about everything she had left and how Clara and no else knew where they were right then.

message 187: by Applejaxc (new)

Applejaxc | 1003 comments "'Get back?' To what? Your hotel room?"

☆ ĄňŊǡƂėƮĦ ☆ ŞŧŎŋė "No to the writing convention so we can go back home," she said to him.

message 189: by Applejaxc (new)

Applejaxc | 1003 comments "Don't you have airplane tickets or a car or something? Why would we have to go to the convention?"

☆ ĄňŊǡƂėƮĦ ☆ ŞŧŎŋė "That was the last place I was so I thought that that would be a good place to go," she said shrugging her shoulders.

message 191: by Applejaxc (new)

Applejaxc | 1003 comments "It's ground-zero. Exactly where we don't want to be." Theodore drummed his fingers on the tabletop until their drinks came. He had opted for Dr. Prepper. "So. Uh... the police are looking for us. So I guess they aren't someone to ask for help."

message 192: by ☆ ĄňŊǡƂėƮĦ ☆ (last edited Mar 18, 2015 04:00PM) (new)

☆ ĄňŊǡƂėƮĦ ☆ ŞŧŎŋė "I guess not," Aria said about both going back to the convention as well as asking the police for help. She had ordered a glass of milk and she took a sip of it after it was set down. A few moments later there food came and she put syrup on her large pancakes and started to eat.

message 193: by Applejaxc (new)

Applejaxc | 1003 comments Theodire rolled his sleeves vack, and once again started with his fries. "I'm... I really have no clue what the hell is going on. What terrible monster did your princess fight? Is it something we can kill, our do we need a xkcd of hemlock and spider dew?"

message 194: by Applejaxc (new)

Applejaxc | 1003 comments (Thays supposed to be spider, not xkcd...)

☆ ĄňŊǡƂėƮĦ ☆ ŞŧŎŋė "There are no monsters only an evil king who wanted more power and money from other kings and kingdoms, which is why he took the prince in the first place," Aria said to him, "I suppose we would just be able to kill him but since he is a king, he has guards."

message 196: by Applejaxc (new)

Applejaxc | 1003 comments (Maybe the king and the Tsung are working together?)

"Bit he isn't the 'send Asians with guns' type like my badguys, right?"

☆ ĄňŊǡƂėƮĦ ☆ ŞŧŎŋė (good idea)

"No, they just have long swords, bows and arrows, daggers, and assassins," Aria said listing off the guards that she remembered from her novel.

message 198: by Applejaxc (new)

Applejaxc | 1003 comments "Where's the Order if Friends when you need it..." He asked himself. "That doesn't sound quite as bad. How are your pancakes?" He sat, hunched his plate, burger in both hands, not having yet taken a bite.

☆ ĄňŊǡƂėƮĦ ☆ ŞŧŎŋė "Its really good," Aria said after swallowing the large bite that she had just had. "How is yours?" she asked him motioning to his hamburger with her fork. She didn't know how he could eat that in the morning.

message 200: by Applejaxc (new)

Applejaxc | 1003 comments Theodore shrugged. "Nothing beats a cheeseburger and fries." He took his first bite with an obnoxious crunch as the onion ring topping was crushed. "They've hit a TV playing the news over there," he gestured over her shoulder, "but I can't read the subtitle from here."
