This was a nice little one-day read. Vampires, a high school dude cursed with a blood curse that makes human females find him attractive, and all sorts of hijinks? Yes, please. I'm gonna be reading all six of the currently translated novels in order, so expect more of this over the coming days.

Welcome back, Matthew. It's great that you're back into reading, and it sounds like you know exactly what you need.
Do you have a specific number of reads for a goal, or just a goal of enjoying and escapism?

Well, I'm participating in a couple of reading challenges on the site this year, one of them is 100 Japanese novels and light novels. So I really want to hit and maybe even double that goal this year, as light novels tend to be shorter than traditional books.

Read my review on my page, as my thoughts on this one are a little complicated.

If anyone is seeing a pattern in the types of novels I've been into lately, I cannot deny that I'm basically enjoying the written equivalent of a popcorn flick.

Almost forgot about this one. Cool little series if you can get past the harem aspect, assuming that's not your cuppa.

I've been MIA for a couple of years due to a cancer diagnosis, but this year I want to get back into the habit of reading again. So I'm starting this topic to both keep track of the books I read, and get discussions going about those books or others. I read a lot of light novels and LITRPG style books these days, mostly fantasy and sci-fi, so I realize that some of the books on my list are going to be unfamiliar to many of you, and probably not to everyone's taste.
I find myself avoiding anything with too much realism these days, my reality is depressing enough. So be prepared for a lot of escapism and transmutation/isekai style content. I'm glad to be back into it.
Hope to hear from all of you over the course of this journey!
