Hello all, I'm back...sort of....I had problems with my laptop, and that problem is now resolved. Later that week, I had an unexpected five-day hospital stay. I thought I had sprained my right arm, but they found an infection that settled in my muscle. I was put on major antibiotics and pain pills. The combination had me sleeping most of the time and reading nothing.
The meds continued when I was discharged in milder doses. However, I was still sleeping a good fourteen hours per day. I'm almost back to normal and ready to get back to reading. It has not been the best two months for reading/listening to my books. It is going to take me forever to catch up.
So sorry to hear that you were in hospital Sharon, but glad that you are on the mend.I hope you have some great books lined up!

Well I just finished another book longhand as of this evening, but aside from listening to some audiobooks in the coming year, I'm more than likely going to take a indefinite hiatus from reading books longhand.To clarify what I mean by reading books longhand, I mean reading books with just my eyes as opposed to relying on audiobooks. But my reason for wanting to take a hiatus from doing this practice is because I want to get a Microsoft Surface Tablet. They have a browser extension on Microsoft Edge where you can read EPUB books, and this app uses a text-to-speech feature that highlights words one at a time so I can focus on the story without being distracted. If any of you are curious about this browser extension look up EPUBReader.
