I cannot wait to read this book! Im taking a vacation day that day so I can just read it…..and then probably re-read it!
I looked at a few of the early reviews, being careful not to learn anything I didn't want to know. Lots of good reviews...I'm eager to read it!
I can't wait to get off work so I can run to Target or book store so I can see it in person. So excited :-D
I finished it a week ago. Thought provoking and chilling. It's a nightmare. The plot is a flippin nightmare. How horrible to be just starting out and have everything stolen from you.
Woo hoo! My library delivered the audiobook a few minutes ago. I’ll start it as soon as I finish my current book.
I'm finishing up a series I borrowed and then will start on Identity. It's been very difficult for me not to go ahead and start reading, but I have been on a mission to whittle down my TBR list.
Almost at 100 pages, and I am feeling all the feels. Morgan has so much strength as a character.
I finished it a couple of days ago. Here is the link to my review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

One of my favorites!
One of my favorites!
I love the generational element. The child growing and building with parents and grandparents. Adore this trope.

So did I, Talya. Strong family themes here…the Greenwald’s multi generational family-owned business in Maryland, same for the Jameson’s and the Nash’s. When we hear so much dysfunction in real-life family owned businesses, this was refreshing and a model of how it can work well.

Absolutely Jonetta! I've seen family businesses get really messy and tense, so reading functional family businesses like these are very refreshing.
Ok, talk about build up. Morgan and Miles have barely had any interaction and I'm almost halfway through. But I'm not mad it it! I usually cannot stand slow burn, but it is working here.
I loved this book! To me, it felt like reading one of Nora's older stories, in a good way. To be honest, I haven't connected with some of her most recent work, but this one reminded why I love reading Nora's books.
That’s great, Margaret. Nora seems to be gravitating towards combining family drama, suspense and romance these days and I’m liking the trend. The stories have more layers.

Former Army brat Morgan Albright has finally planted roots in a friendly neighborhood near Baltimore. Her friend and roommate Nina helps her make the mortgage payments, as does Morgan's job as a bartender. But after she and Nina host their first dinner party—attended by Luke, the flirtatious IT guy who'd been chatting her up at the bar—her carefully built world is shattered. The back door glass is broken, cash and jewelry are missing, her car is gone, and Nina lies dead on the floor.
Soon, a horrific truth emerges: It was Morgan who let the monster in. „Luke” is actually a cold-hearted con artist named Gavin who targets a particular type of woman, steals her assets and identity, and then commits his ultimate goal: murder.
What the FBI tells Morgan is beyond chilling. Nina wasn't his type. Morgan is. Nina was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. And Morgan's nightmare is just beginning. Soon she has no choice but to flee to her mother's home in Vermont. While she struggles to build something new, she meets another man, Miles Jameson. He isn't flashy or flirtatious, and his family business has deep roots in town. But Gavin is still out there hunting new victims, and he hasn't forgotten the one who got away.
