Where in the World? & When is your Birthday/joined Group??
I live in Toronto, Ontario. I was born in Kitzingen, Bavaria, Germany but lived in a little town called Hüttenheim until we emigrated to Canada when I was six years old.
I live in a village near Stratford-upon-Avon, England. Shakespeare's birthplace is a mere 8 miles away and Kenilworth, the setting of the same named Walter Scott novel, is a 40 minute drive and a beautiful ruin.
I was born in Chattanooga, TN. Lived all over the USA. I am currently living full time in a travel trailer. Love it!! We boondock on BLM land or public lands. You may see me in Arizona, Nevada, Oregon or California. I like to rock hound. Currently in Arizona.
I adore seeing where we all live!!!!!!!!!!I think it is great that there is a mix of different cultures.
I guess I should have added that although I now live in Stockholm, Sweden, I was born in the U.S., moved to Sweden 5 decades ago, but then have later lived in France and Belgium too. This is why different cultures interest me.Let me say uppfront. I have lousy vision, so I make errors when I type. I have difficulty finding things on the screen and keyboard.
I was born in Connecticut and have spent almost 40 years in the southwest. I’ve been in Albuquerque, New Mexico for 32 years. It’s nice to see what a global community we have in this group!
Born in Brooklyn, NY, moved to Long Island when there was a great movement in the early 1950s. Currently in Monroe, NJ, sort of the Princeton metro region, for the last 35 years.
I was born on the northern border of Minnesota with Canada. I've lived in the California Bay Area for almost 50 years.

About 70 miles west in Baudette.😄 I enjoy reading books from that area.
Sandy, In classics I enjoyed Canoeing with the Cree, The Wendigo, Giants in the Earth, and of course Little House in the Big Woods. I'm looking forward to our group read of The Emigrants.
I was born and raised in southeastern Louisiana. I still live in the same area I grew up in just southeast of Baton Rouge in Ascension Parish. (For those who do not know, Louisiana is the only state in the USA that has parishes instead of counties, which traces back to the French colonial roots.) Where I live is considered the eastern edge of what is known as "Cajun Country".
Gilbert wrote: "Born in Brooklyn, NY, moved to Long Island when there was a great movement in the early 1950s. Currently in Monroe, NJ, sort of the Princeton metro region, for the last 35 years."We are practically neighbors! Don’t start clearing the shelves of my favorite used book stores:)
I was born and grew up in Yorkshire, England, near the home of the Bronte sisters, and I now live a few miles further east in Lincolnshire.
Bruce I hope you and your family fared well through Hurricane season. My Sister leaves in Deland and it scares me for her and her husband being so far away!
Enjoy the rest of winter we are having unbelievable weather next week 50s and 60s! Of course that's Ohio for ya!

Yes, Lesle! Thank you so much :)
I missed this. Even though I live in Massachusetts I will forever think of myself as being from British Columbia because in my heart I am always Canadian first. FWIW I marred an American or wouldn't have settled in the States, although I had lived here a few times for 1 or 2 years at various times in other states. So if you are only looking at now, this is another state covered.
John wrote: "I was born and live in Glasgow, Scotland."Visited beautiful Glasgow last September. Great city!
Max wrote: "Was born and raised in Bruges, Belgium 🇧🇪"I agree with Rosemarie. Bruges is quite extraordinary!
Montreal is a terrific place, Lorraine, but I always eat too much when I go there-the food is good but there are huge portions!
I am a Taiwanese American, currently traveling in third-world countries, specifically in Asia. When in the States, I live in Alabama, Indiana, New York, Pennsylvania, and Texas.
born and raised and living in Iowa USA. I recently was able to visit England and found people and country wonderful!
I was born and grew up in Italy, have lived in Switzerland, France, and England.Am now a US citizen and lived in California, but now live in Ohio.
Donna when I think of Iowa, I imagine fields of corn.

Lesle wrote: "Kiki you have lived in some beautful areas!"Thank you, I sure have. Right now, though, I'm happy here in Ohio because most of my family is here, in the foothills of the Appalachians. Anticipating a beautiful and colorful autumn before too long.
Ela wrote: "I live in the North of Italy"I lived in Bergamo in the NE for a time and in Bellagio, near Como. I love the Lago di Como area. I still think it's the most beautiful area in the world. Appalachia ties, though, especially in the autumn, and especially if you're a lover of hiking like I am.
