The sheet had a solution all along... we just never used it, and I forgot to add it to my sheet with fancier formulas... I think everybody else's sheet has it...

Standalone counts blank series cells, and cells with / in them and nothing else, like you crossed it out...

Is that good enough, or do you really want none/standalone to be a valid response for the formula tracker?
