It's time to gather your tomes for the 2023 Year-Long Reading Challenge! If you want, you can complete this challenge by just reading fiction, but some titles can also be non-fiction. 1. Set on an island
2. Set in a major non-U.S. city
3. Set in a state that Interstate 90 runs through (Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts)
4. Set in the 20th century
5. Set during a holiday that’s not Christmas
6. Involves a library or bookstore
7. Involves a birth, wedding or a funeral
8. Involves a mythical or supernatural creature
9. A pet is a main character
10. Genre read: Romance
11. Genre read: SciFi or Fantasy
12. Genre read: Mystery
13. Genre read: Western
14. Genre read: Bildungsroman (coming of age story)
15. Best-selling author you’ve never read before

Either
1. Published in the 20th century
2. History/historical fiction of a 20th century event or person
3. Minnesota author
4. Canadian author
5. Graphic, Manga or Comic book
6. Title that has a taste- or food-related word
7. Title that begins the same letter as your last name
8. Title made into a movie or TV show
9. Title you wish you could read again for the first time
10. Title you meant to read last year
