These are all internationally known books. Even more bizarre is finding Audible UK unable to secure publication agreements for some volumes of a trilogy. I had a conversation with an author who had sold publication rights in the UK, and the publishers produced ZERO audiobooks.

Because I am in Audible UK's "sphere of influence", I cannot then make a purchase at Audible.com.

Ligotti seems to have a very limited repertoire published in English, even less so in Audiobook form.

I had the pleasure(?) of speaking with a heavily published author of action/thrillers from the U.S. While he was a pleasure, his story was not. This is an author with more than 20 books published, including in the U.K.

His rights to publish in the U.K. include both paper and audio rights. NONE of his books that I am aware of, have been released in Audio format in the U.K.

He told me he was paid for the rights to publish, but sit unused. This locks up the books in Limbo, making them unavailable to the public and denying him sales. He was at a loss why someone would pay for publication rights and then fail to publish.

Sometimes we see books 1 and 3 on Audible but not book 2. Unfortunately Audible gives only a bland "it's not available in your country". I was just listening to a book called "Hill of Beans" only to have it Vanish as not available in my region.

It would be nice to know WHY this happens.
