Gloria | 13 comments I usually read my books and keep my thoughts to myself, but I’ve seen lots of annotating so I’m starting that w this book but wanna get opinions of what exactly could I label them. Ex.: happy thought, sad, angry, confused? Type of thing?

Shira Dali | 148 comments I have two types of tabs.

Romance(Or anything that isn’t a mystery):
Blue - sad / relatable
Orange - smut / that was a turn on for me
Pink - Aww or just cute
Yellow - funny as shit / awkward…
Green - I’m mad / go bad bitch

Mystery books with no smut:
Orange - Seems suspicious
Green - mad / whaaaat? / go bad Bitch
Blue - sad / relatable
Pink - cute / aww
Yellow - funny / awkward
Purple - stuff to remember

Yeah I’m crazy don’t ask

Purple : Quotes that I like / Favorite character appeared
Green : I'm laughing let me tab that / Relatable / I have some thoughts
Blue : I'm sad / I am crying. Finally emotions !
Pink : This is cute your cute / My book boyfriend made an appearance

jenna | 2 comments i sometimes have set out things that my tabs mean, or i match them to the colors on the cover, then put a sticky note on the inside of the front cover.

for simple annotation, i just do my fav quotes in one color, and fav scene in a diff one…

but to go complex just choose colors that match the mood of the emotion, imo
like red- romantic
blue- sad
yellow- happy
etc.
