Request a Buddy 2023

Does anyone else have ? I already had it from NetGalley but I read the excerpt on BookishFirst and it sounds like a trip! It's a YA locked room murder mystery set on a 1920's-themed ship.

okay let me know. This book is a drag for me. I can't understand all the great reviews, I am 67% in and I am still waiting for a murder. The characters are not well developed and the writing style is dull.

I don't have either yet, but they are currently listen & read now respectively. So, I was thinking about it. The Space Between fits for a challenge I'm doing, but publishes in July and I'm pretty swamped. The Heiress is just a popular author and doesn't publish until January.

I got listened to it today and it is the best romance novel I have read this year. I loved it so much it will be a five-star read for me. I love the main character Andi it is all about love how complex and messy it can get. There are some sad parts it really gets to your heart. I am still thinking about this book.

I didn't realize The Heiress was Rachel Hawkins. I have loved all of hers. I just went and requested it.
I also requested the Lisa Jewel one, though hers are usually hit or miss for me.

@ Elyse - I have not started Connellys yet. I am planning to start in a few days after my current read, but could swap with another read if you want to read it a little later in the month. The only time I can't do it is during the Dark Corners buddy read that starts on the 17th. Otherwise, I'm open.

I'll plug The Heiress in for November in the calendar.

Ha, I haven't been a good buddy as of late. I am behind on 3 buddy reads and have 6 publishing in August. (which is crazy bc that is when school is starting up again for me. A week earlier! UGH... I prefer to start after Labor Day)

I am sticking with it though. Will be moving on to another BR tomorrow.
