Hi! I'm seeing 4 tasks per monster on the spreadsheet - is there a column missing or is the last task assigned differently?

Oh, I see where the confusion is coming from. The first task is the hit points/ page range even though it’s labeled as page range, not task.

Also, only one of the books read for the monster needs to be in the page range, the others can be any length you’d like.

Is there a minimum page limit for non page count task and can I use electronic boxsets to meet page counts as I have 4 of 5 book in either Very Hard or Are you Alive?

No page minimum. This is for pure fun and we aren't creating a ranking/score board. So I decided to let people use whatever they'd like even if we don't typically allow them in our challenges.

And box sets are fine too!

Open ended, I’ll occasionally be adding new themed wheels and monsters to existing wheels.

But you can go after monsters for as long as you’d like. And come and go as life allows

FYI - a new monster wheel, Asian Monsters has been posted.

Any wheel can be used to get your initial 5 monsters or a replacement.

A new tab was also added to the Master List of Tasks spreadsheet for the Asian monsters.

Not a mod but wrote the task, it means author last name, or first name starts with a letter in AHOOL (either, not both)

I'm going to say no to this one. I'd be okay if it was in a quote or poem right at the opening before chapter 1, but not on the summary which isn't always written by the author.

Yes, that works for beheading. Intentional or unintentional head removal is fine for this task.

50% at least of the book needs to be in the desert locale.

If we are reading a large print book for those 800+ pages tasks ( I can't believe we got three monsters in a row with this task, groan.. ) is that okay?

Sure, that’s fine. Normally the issue with large print books is the inflation of page points. With no points involved, I’ll accept it 🙂

Do subtitles count as part of the title? I need a title that contains all the letters in ZEUS. I just read Doing Harm: The Truth About How Bad Medicine and Lazy Science Leave Women Dismissed, Misdiagnosed, and Sick, but all the letters in ZEUS are in the subtitle.

Hi Juliana,

It stands for Main Page Genre. If you look on the book's first page there will be a list of Genres that most people have tagged the book. This is where you find it.
