Im curious to see how many people listen to music while reading? Me personally, cant focus if theres sound around so I dont listen to music.

Yes. I have two playlists. She be Reading and She Be Reading (mystery version) and making she be Reading (fantasy version). It’s so much cooler to listen to songs while reading
no I don’t. I cant or i will not understand what I’m reading. It’s just hard for me 🫢
Yesss. Weirdly it makes me concentrate more. If didn’t listen to music while reading I would zone out a lot. But I don’t listen to my favorites bec I’ll just ignore the book and vibe with the songs.

Sometimes I do, but it’s rather lofi or classical tho… I can’t concentrate if there are lyrics and generally I listen to music when I believe the book’s boring :)

it depends I'd say, sometimes I listen to brown noises, sometimes pop music, and sometimes nothing haha but my A/C acts as brown noises too so...

yes I usually just listen to Taylor Swift, Conan Grey, and Adele. But sometimes I just cut it off. And leave my headphones on because I can't focus but don't want to here people talking or the TV because I will zone out.

i can’t concentrate if I listen music while reading but I do have playlists or specific songs I associate to characters because of the vibe they give off.

It all depends on the mood the story is giving. I have 24 playlists on my spotify and each of them describe a different feeling so yeah. Also I like listening to music that relate to what is happening in the book. Pretty much it but yes sometimes it's a bit too distracting.

Yep. All the time. When I was little my mom was watching TV or listening to radio at all times. Since she helped me learn I got used to the noise and now can't pay attention to almost anything without music or some noise around me. It can't be too loud tho.
I listen to classical, soundtrack, lofi or any instrumental music while I read, sometimes it can be distracting if I really like the song but most of the time I can focus on what I’m reading
im so adhd that i need two things going on at once for me to understand what i’m reading and i hate being in silence. i’ll usually listen to lofi or quiet music like the album holiday in rhode island by the softies.
Not usually but if it’s nosy around I will listen to instrumental music or raindrops (usually do raindrops because I get distracted with instrumentals)

yes all of the time! it helps block out the real world and if you find the right playlist it can make the experience sm more realistic. i personally use spotify and search up playlist made for the books i’m reading and if i see one that looks good i use it:)

No. I like to escape into my books. Music I find distracting.It's either that, or my brain can't multitask.

Yes, it's hard for me to read without music. I normally look up a playlist corresponding with the book I'm reading. It may just be the book in general or the genre of the book. Sometimes I get songs I know and will take a second to sing a certain line before going back to reading but normally I'm too sucked into the book to realize I knew the song.
