This book was - ok. The first part with the main character growing up with the making of the OED was interesting. But later it seemed like the author tried to include too much, throwing in details of women's suffrage, WWI, and more. Of course all those things did happen around the same time, but the book seemed to jump from one thing to another and didn't make me care enough about the characters and feel they were really living them.
