I have read through chapter 8.

The many voices feel a bit overwhelming at the moment, but I'm sure I'll find the rhythm.

Melba scares me! I worry for Holden and company. I hope she gets shut down before too much damage is done, but I'm assuming that won't be the case (and I don't like it)! Will he ever recover if she goes through with the "video" plan? Her whole plot is causing me anxiety.

Anna comes across as a "Do what needs to be done" sort. She might be a guardian angel wrapped around a fierce warrior. I am intrigued to see what's in store for her. If she is not reunited with her family, I will be upset.

I like Bull, but I can't tell you why yet. I just do. I feel a sense of honesty and integrity from him. I hope I'm not wrong.

I am already missing Bobby and Avasarala - do they make a cameo in this installment?

I agree with both of you. It hit me right when Ashford asked the other mechanic if she agreed with the time estimate.

Reading, in general, has been slow going for me this month. It's like I hit a wall. So, I'm still not done with this yet. I've read through chapter 46. so far.

Nyssa- I am in the same boat! Right after the buddy reads for this started in November, I got covid for the first time, and just couldn’t concentrate on reading. I still have not caught up! I am on chapter 50 now and hoping to finish the last 40 pages tonight.

I just finished as well and ugh, same! This one was so good, but so heavy! I am (view spoiler)[ really sad about Bull. I honestly thought somehow he got out and they were going to find him alive.

I was so unsure about Anna for so much of the book, but in the end, she was a great character. I was so frustrated by her defense of Clarissa, but she turned out to be right. I found myself being sad for Clarissa at the end. What a turnaround. Really enjoyed this one and will be moving right along! (hide spoiler)]
