On the personal front, Bree is adjusting to being surrounded by so much family after being a loner for most of her life. Her niece Kayla still needs to sleep with her, along with their new rescue dog Ladybug. The night she wakens because of a nightmare and Kayla comforts her, using words she’d said to her niece in the past, seems to have shifted things for her. Your thoughts about this scene?

I found it interesting that Bree allowed the dog in the bed, considering her fear of dogs. It showed me she was dealing with her fear even though it got the better of her later on. I like the fact that Leigh doesn't ignore this and shows us that Bree confronting her phobia is a process.

Great point, Lauren! I hadn’t thought about that. I felt like at least Kayla was bonding with her beyond just assuaging her fears. It was a lovely moment where they seemed to be forming as a family, both for Bree and the kids.
