Celeste Batchelor (celestebatchelor) | 27 comments How is everybody doing for March?

So far, I am keeping up having finished 9 books for this year. I finished "The Tenant at Wildfell Hall" by Anne Bronte. I've read almost all of the Bronte sisters books. I'm not a huge fan, but they are okay.

I am still working through my weekly reading books. I started the 3rd Michael Vey book. I really liked the first one, the others are okay. I also started up on Plutarch's Lives as part of my Great Books of the Western World readings. I can only handle one "life" a week. It is some detailed reading to finish that in a month. I won't be able to! It hurts my brain.

I love reading about what others are reading! I can't wait to see your posts.

I am doing very well with reading. I'm working on my tenth book of the year. Right now I am reading Little Women. I just got four David McCullough books in the mail and I checked out a fifth book of his from the library. I am also working on the TJEd adult book list. I love the rich language of these books especially "Little Women." I hope everyone else is doing well. :) Sandra

Lori (somekramers) | 3 comments I think I've done 14 books so far :) I have been glad to be making more time for reading, though I am in a really busy season right now. I am in the middle of TJEd for Teens - I am taking that one slowly, hoping to soak some of it in before my 10 year old gets much older. Also working on "Choosing Joy" by Dan Lord as one of my spiritual books this lent...thinking I should finish that one up this week. Took a look at our finances after a family vacation at the end of Jan/beginning of Feb, and have challenged myself to a low level of spending for this month and am reading "More Than Enough" by Dave Ramsey to get my head in the financial game. Beyond that, I am still working through the Bible and Catechism of the Catholic Church this year along with a brief intro to the books of the Bible (You Can Understand the Bible by Peter Kreeft). Finished "Mary Emma and Company" recently, and have "The Fields of Home" waiting for me to start, and I also have several volumes of the Great Books of the Western World out from the library, so I hope to do some serious reading in those soon...maybe this weekend?

Linette | 13 comments I'm including everything this year; Picture books, read-alouds, the works. All of them for me mwahahaha.

Finished the HIding Place in two days; procrastinating on Sense and Sensibility; actually finished off some stuff hanging around from last year (oh yeah!)

The to-read pile keeps on growing faster than the have read pile. Also reading a thousand and one book reviews. It's so hard to find modern adult fiction that isn't dodgy in some way.

Cheryn | 1 comments I'm a two books behind, I've read 7 this year so far. However I'm currently reading about 8 books between read alouds, religious study books and audio books (which I listen to during housework); once I finish a couple at the same time I'm sure I'll catch up. Hopefully this month. :)

Celeste Batchelor (celestebatchelor) | 27 comments I'm reading several books at once too. Two read alouds with my son, one his choice (The Maze Runner) and one my choice (U.S History an LDS Perspective). Plus, my personal reading is to finish the 3rd Michael Vey book and Les Miserables and Plutarch's Lives ( which I think will take me the rest of MY life to finish, ha ha). And...I have my scriptures and church books and magazines to read each month. Sometimes I wonder how I keep so many going. In my early adulthood, I could only focus on one book at a time.

Sara (homeschoolsara) I have read 23 books (for myself) so far this year. Some were thin but really, I have been hunkering in and reading like crazy. I had a steep learning curve with Asperger's in our home and so it has been part of my mission to read as much reputable literature as I could as fast as I could.

The true literary classics that I have read for myself this year have been very enriching. The Scarlet Pimpernel and The Count of Monte Cristo piqued my interest in The Three Musketeers. Talk about a bummer! Musketeers was awful! I am chasing it with David Copperfield, however, and am thrilled.

Clearly, I have moved into my own scholar phase.

Molly Christensen (molly_christensen) | 1 comments I've read 13 books so far, and I'm thrilled because I FINALLY finished Les Mis (it took me 6 months...) So now I can get on to reading even more, haha I do always read several books at a time, but I had to cut back so I could finish Les Mis. So now I'm back to 4-5 books.
