Thanks Dee. I was looking for a way to use this book in the challenge.

Thanks Dee. I was looking for a way to us..."
That sounds cool! I will look at those. I am loving mystery lately.
Diane Chamberlain also has the book The Midwife's Confession. I have been meaning to check her out.

That book is on my wishlist.

For myself, I'm thinking of William Kent Krueger ... never read anything by him before, but his #1 in a series fits another challenge in SRC Spring.

20.2 Midwives/Birth
Option 1.
I was at the birth of my daughter Carrie and it was both beautiful & terrifying ....so I'd like to avoid the pain (hey ! I'm a man...) Does the reading have to be midwife/baby/slapped bottom stuff ?
Can I read

Caledonii: Birth of a Celtic Nation (Part One: The Great Gathering)
It only looks Short (124 pages ?) but knowing me I'll have to read the rest of the series as well.

many thanks (still feels like cheating though)
Chris

April is the month in which my husband and our oldest son were born. All of our children have been born with the help of midwives, so I’ve created this task in their honor.
Read ONE book from the following options.
Required: State which option you chose when you post.
Option One: Read a book with the word “midwife” or “birth” in the title or subtitle. Plurals and possessives work, but no other variations.
Option Two: Read a book where a midwife is a main character. This can be fiction or non-fiction.
Required: if the midwife’s role is not obvious from the Goodreads description, explain how the book fits the task.
