January 2023 Group Read #1 - The Shuddering
This will be my first read with this group and I already enjoy Ania Ahlborn so I'm looking forward to this :)
This will also be my first time reading with a book club. I’m so excited. I cannot wait for January.
Awesome! I am joining this one - already have it downloaded on my KU. I really like Ahlborn so this should be fun. :)
I was planning to read this in December, but have moved it to January to join this group in this read. But don't worry, I have LOTS of other books to read this month instead!

One thing I never worry about with the good people on HA is having enough books to read. :D

LOL! Now THAT sounds familiar! I'm actually up to December's group read now!

So excited!! I’ve been flying through books this last month so I’m def saving this one for January. Now I just need to figure out where to get it since it’s not at my library 😭
Yay! This one got my vote so I'm excited to read it. I'm still trying to frantically finish my 2022 reading goal, so this will wait until January for sure! (Even though I maybe already rented it on kindle unlimited...)
A great thing about groups is the introduction of titles you hadn't found on your on. The Shuddering sounds neato-torpedo.

I've got The Shuddering loaded and waiting for January.

I'm guessing that reading a book in a club like this leads to conversations about it? Without looking, which I'll admit is lazy, I wonder what else it entails..
i love this book, very creepy with an old school style I'm on the audio book and since I had some driving this week I'm almost finished
The odds of me having already read both January books is crazy. I actually am ahead for once! I will reread The Shuddering so I can refresh my memory on it. I did give it a good rating!
I am finishing up Earthworm Gods II: Deluge and then I will be starting this one. So Maybe on Tuesday.
i just wanted to point out that this was an amazing read for me last year so i hope you all enjoy it!
Gareth wrote: "I started this early this morning. Certainly gets off to a good start."Glad to hear it! It’s definitely a wonderful book in my opinion, Ania is a very good author

I also will be audio booking this - how was the narrator?
Just got my copy from my library (did have to interlibrary loan it, as my district did not have it)! Excited to start reading!
Just started it tonight. Always knew I made the right choice to move to a tropical place where it doesn’t snow.

Thanks! I still don't know exactly (view spoiler)
I'm thinking you may be a little disappointed regarding that Marie. I'm 80% in now and still wondering to some extent. I'm enjoying reading this still.
I just finished this book. It was not what I expected. I’m looking forward to seeing what others feel about the book.
