Just completed #12 (sit on - tree branch) - Lily and Dunkin by Donna Gephart. This book is amazing! I loved the writing, the dual perspectives intermingled, the characters, everything! “Sometimes our hearts see things our eyes can’t.” So many truths contained in this book. I particularly liked the nugget that each main character thought the other had it all together - good reminder that we rarely know what is really going on with others. Definitely worth reading! 5 stars

Just completed #14 (art) - Auntie Luce’s Talking Paintings by Francine LaTour, illustrations by Ken Daley. Love this book! And I would have loved it as a kid - the colors are so vibrant and the pictures contain lovely detail! The story is so sweet, and I love the descriptions of colors and origins in the book! And I appreciate the author’s note and glossary with pronunciations at the end. Definitely worth reading! 5 stars
