Christine wrote: "Sandy *The world could end while I was reading and I would never notice* wrote: "Christine wrote: "Sandy *The world could end while I was reading and I would never notice* wrote: "Just been approve..."No, but I would love to. Check out his bio.😊
Good-bye fair world! I am going to hole up with The Lullaby Girl for the next several hours. My mojo for reading nothing but the authors books since I put in for it has evidently worked. Of course, it helped that they were all on Kindle Free.
Hope you got plenty of sustenance to keep you going Maureen 😊😙😋😃. Asked for K.L. Slater's The Mistake this morning and wonderful Bookouture have already approved the request. Lovely people, I have enjoyed her books so far 😃
I'm dyin' here. I need NG rehab. A book by my favorite author came up, and I'm checking my email every few hours. Kelley Armstrong's This Fallen Prey. I have had a good run with St. Martin's press, I hope it isn't over.
My stomach was in knots.

I hope you get the book.
Love the Casey Duncan series too. I did get it, but I have auto approval at St.Martins, so don't panic. Will keep my fingers crossed for you.

I’m sure you will get approved. Bookouture are great to deal with and very accommodating.

Yeah, Bookouture is my favourite publisher! They always have the best books.

Something they bestow. Give you unfettered access to all their ARCs. I'm library acquisitions, why I got it probably.

Did you get it????????
Approved for Dying Breath by Helen Phifer.(cant find it on here yet)Really enjoyed the first in the series so looking forward to this one.
If you’re looking for a scary Halloween read, consider my first novel “The Angel’s Claw,” I’d really appreciate your comments on my first book if you have the time. I’ve always thought it was about the fight between Heaven and Hell and karma being the middle ground. I realize now, it’s more about choosing the sacred within us, even after the worst things you can imagine happening to us.https://store.bookbaby.com/book/the-a...
I come here, look at all the requests and approved...
I shouldn't !!
Went to Net Galley, and requested about 20 books...
Instantly approved for
and
An even larger reading list on my Kindle...

(I've been visiting MIL out of town) Not yet, but the last time I have looked the only reviews I have seen are still from librarians. Plus, I don't think I've seen anyone here saying they have received it, so I haven't gone into mourning yet.
Maureen, how do you know librarian reviews. Are those those reviews with star ratings only (no actual reviews) and usually a generic (faceless) avatar? That you see before a book even hits Net Galley? I always wondered who those people are.
Christine wrote: "Maureen, how do you know librarian reviews. Are those those reviews with star ratings only (no actual reviews) and usually a generic (faceless) avatar? As to your description- could very well be, I never thought about that. Makes good sense.
OMG OMG OMG I got it!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just need to post a "Closed" sign on my life. Too bad my house is filled with men putting down hardwood floors, because hammering and cutting are veddy loud.
I sound like a fifteen year girl old trying to get tickets to a concert, but I might be insulting fifteen year old girls.
Squee and Squeel !

Congrats, Maureen! Happy for you!
Thank you Diane and Christine! I appreciate the support. I don't mean to be so whiny. But there are certain authors I adore and I always want their books.I was turned down for Dead Girl Running by Christina Dodd, which surprised the hell out of me considering how much exposure Ms Dodd gave me on FB and in her newsletter. Turns out she has a new publisher, who was aware of my review, but didn't connect it with my name. She's trying to get it fixed so that I get an ARC.
So happy I was just approved for Look for Me by Lisa Gardner....Very impatiently awaiting approval for Paper Ghosts by Julia Heaberlin
Okay, the pubs. changed their minds and I got Dead Girl Running by Christina Dodd. Even though she is known for her romantic suspense, she really stepped up her game with the Virtue Falls series and went more to suspense with some romance.Dead Girl Running is the start of a new series. So far I am liking it very much. So I recommend for request even though the publishers seem to be a little hard-ass about their requirements.
They placed this book in mystery rather than romance because one of the reviewers suggested they needed to do so and so Dodd ran a poll.
I've just been approved to read Barbara Copperthwaite's latest Her Last Secret. Really enjoyed The Darkest Lies so looking forward to this one!!Also just got The 71/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton Description is quite intriguing so hoping it's good

Jacob M. Appel is one of my very favorite authors Christine. He writes excellent short stories, and this will be the second novel of his that I have read. Besides that, he is a very interesting person. His list of accomplishments is amazing. He is definitely on my 'if you could invite anyone to a dinner party ' list. 😉
