NetGalley Books ... Just Had Approved
I did request on NetGalley after seeing your approval. Got approved fairly quickly. The publishing person must have been in a good mood! ;0))

Me?? Wily?!! Hehe!!
Me?? Wily?!! Hehe!!
I know but I jeep seeing this book everywhere! 😀 Gotta say I'm doing well in knocking off books from my NetGalley shelf. Deeming pretty good! ☺️

It's always worth asking, isn't it? Hard to know if they really check out our profiles and writing to them shows how much you really want the book!
Sounds like it's really good :)
I've never thought to email a publisher but you're not right there's no harm in asking. Shall bear in mind in future.
I mean right. Not not right.
I know what I mean. Can't edit on phone 📱 You'd think by now GR would find a way!!

It looks good but is only available in the UK 😶
Well... I saw that Mary is in the U.S.A. so I went back to Netgalley and tried. It said only available in the UK when first pulled the book up but I went ahead and hit the read now button and it went to another page minus the only UK info. So I gave it a try and was able to get A Dark So Deadly
by Stuart MacBride Yay 🎉

I've been so bad... need to get my Netgalley books taken care of.
You'll get there, Lynn! 😀 My current ratio is at 85% which isn't good for me. I made the mistake a while ago ago of requesting and downloading some 'read now' books which I know I'm not going to read. So my ratio will never be 100%. 😕 Oh well... happy with with where I'm at. 😊
Adrian was right, got The Missing Girls now on my bookshelf. Thanks for the heads up here guys and Bookouture.

I didnt even see that it was for the U.K. I thought it looked good too. There are a lot of five star reviews and its a standalone. I have been wanting to try this author.
Why have all of my reviews been removed from Amazon? They go up originally, now I can't seem to find them. I thought there was a connection between NG and Amazon.
This one was on the "Read Now" shelf. So I could read it immediately!
A graphic novel/autobiography about living with an eating-disorder.

Unravelling Oliver a debut thriller by Liz Nugent. Sounds pretty good!"Would love to read this one after loving Lying In Wait but I'm out of region for this one. It's been out for a couple of years so surprised to see it back on NetGalley.
I was very lucky to receive a paperback copy of Unravelling Oliver
from the publisher because of my liking for Lying In Wait.
I was thrilled!! Still haven't read it yet!

Christine wrote: "How do you get paperbacks rather than ebooks from NG, Janet?"I have received 2 books one I am reading Girl in Snow. Her publisher emailed me and I asked if there was anyway I could get a hard copy of the book. Both times they asked for my address and I received the book w/i a few days.

I had the ebook - Lying In Wait as a NetGalley read. The publisher then emailed me to offer me Unravelling Oliver as an incentive for putting my review out there on Amazon and Goodreads. I was then asked what I preferred? An ebook or paperback and I opted for the paperback. One of those rare lucky moments, I guess. Like I say, thrilled! Sometimes publishers approach and ask if I'm reading a couple of latest titles. I know plenty of bloggers who are inundated with actual copies of review copies. And I mean inundated!! I don't know how they cope with the pressure. Twenty - thirty books a week is a heck of a lot!! Not that all get read and reviewed - but still.

It is a good idea to download them as soon as you get the approval. Just go to your shelf and select for feedback and just pop a note to the publisher and explain that you somehow neglected to download them before they were archived. All will be sweet. ☺

Wow, never hurts to ask then. Thanks, Chris.

Janet, congratulations on being pursued by publishers! That's very cool. And I know what you mean about the bloggers and their stacks of weekly books. Talk about pressure! Not worth it!

Ah now I'm tempted to request this but have enough on my shelf as it is! Does sound interesting though.
Just got approved for
The Whispering RoomExcited for this one. I really enjoyed the 1st book in the series.

So did I! I was afraid I wouldn't get it because I had been recently approved for a few other books too. I was a big fan of the first one.

I read the first one which I thought was great haven't heard yet on the 2nd one. ):

Unfortunately from what I've heard there is no way for us to delete a book from our shelf, something that annoys most of us!

Can't you send feedback to the publisher that this book isn't for you for whatever reason? I would expect it to go away after that and you would even get credit for sending feedback.

Yes, I enjoyed the 1st and looking forward to read #2. Hope you enjoy.

You use to be able to remove books, they had a list with four or five reasons and it would effect your percentage, but since they upgrade the site, changed shelves to current and past, don't think you can anymore.
Christine wrote: "Congrats, Adrian! How many NG books are you carrying now?"Thanks Christine. I have 6 on my shelf to read at the moment with one pending since July 21st! - Artemis the new Andy Weir one. Possibly ththe longest I've waited for a reply.
Christine wrote: "Congrats, Adrian! How many NG books are you carrying now?"Mind if I ask how many you have hanging around on your shelf. Before you ask me I am down to 4 with this being the last book I was approved for
. To be honest I don't even know if I have any pending because I have been staying away from NG unless a author I really like has something up or everyone is raving about a book. I stopped hitting green button because I liked the description of the book.
