NetGalley Books ... Just Had Approved
Despite my shelf having the most books it has ever had on it I couldn't resist requesting Liar by KL Slater, especially after she tweeted "boo Adrian" to me when I told Bookouture they had a brilliant line up of books currently for request but I would resist requesting Liar as I already had so many. 😀
Hah!! Suckers!! 😉 😀 I'm diligently working on my shelf to clear it. I haven't read The Missing Ones yet (mine isn't a NetGalley) so I won't request the next one. I've nearly cleared two series of books, woo hoo!
Enjoy your new approvals! 😀

I got the book I was really really hoping for! So metaphorically I am dancing nekkid down my street.

Maybe you should tweet her that you folded and requested her book because of her unique style of recommendation.
Rich wrote: "Tired of books with girl in the title so unoriginal. I hated home girl" I'm not a fan of any of the Bad Girl Gone on a Train about to be Killed by Husband/Lover/Best Friend who has Some Sort of Mental Problem like Panic Attacks books.
I also really got tired that at some point all of my favorite female characters have been gang raped. Not just raped but gang raped. Although plenty of single raped too. Now I'm starting to see it pop up with the men too. I'd like to think there are other reason for characters to be traumatized.

Wow, Mary, that was a feat!
I was surprised at the books I just saw including Louse Penny. I figure I have a snowball chance in hell of getting any of them.

As much as I love the author I am not going to request it. Down to I believe 4 books.

Mary wrote: "I have been trying to be good haha! I just have to add another netgalley book Koffee. I want the Tess Gerritsen! Congrats!"It's so hard not to want them all!! I do have a question for any seasoned reviewers. How far in advance from the release date do you post your reviews?

Hey, Koffee. Like Chris, I post them as soon as I finish, no matter when that is. I have never had a publisher tell me not to do that.
Yeah I post my reviews as soon as I've finished as I'd never remember otherwise. I do like when publishers send you an email on publication day to encourage you to post your review on Amazon.
Yay Christine and Diane! Congrats on your approvals.I got approved today for I Know A Secret
. I am so excited because I love this series and have been waiting for this book since I have been up to date in this series. It will at least keep me off of netgalley for a week.

The last Robotham that I got from Netgalley came with a request that the review should not be published until the release date was close. As it didn't contain spoilers, and thinking I might forget, I published it as soon as I'd finished reading the book.
Just approved for Two Sisters
by Kerry Wilkinson. Looking forward to reading this. Again from my favourite publisher, Bookouture!

Thanks Mary. THE SECRET ROOM is the third installment in Zoe Goldman series by Sandra Block. Having read the first two: The Girl Without a Name and Little Black Lies, I really enjoyed them. Enjoy!
Do you have to read them in order, do you think? I was going to read this one then go to the first book. Sort of backwards lol!
Mary wrote: "Do you have to read them in order, do you think? I was going to read this one then go to the first book. Sort of backwards lol!"I recommend reading all the books in sequence to understand the background on Dr. Zoe Goldman. In the second book in the series, The Girl Without a Name, this book picks up where the other book left off. Now in the 3rd installment of this series, THE SECRET ROOM, this is Zoe’s first year as a psychiatrist (Forensic psychiatry fellowship) in a prison facility.
Thanks so much Sue for the advice. I usually read my series in order. I am going to read it in order since it looks like there is a cliffhanger.
I usually dont unless I win a book and have to read and review it and someone says that they are standalones which I have only done it once and after I read the book I went bsck and read them in order. They were stand alones so it was O.K.
Got an email from St Martins press with a pre approval link for
Love when that happens. I'm not auto approved with any publishers so love it when I just get offered a book by them.
