Batch approvals!!
It took that long for approval(although I'm delighted I was approved) it will have to go to the back of the (small) que.
Been having a bit of a drought lately on Netgalley so I'm happy to get this & catch up with Kim Stone.
I also got
and requested the Angela Marsons book.As for Orion Publishing Group... I requested 3 books from them and got declined. I even read and reviewed one of their samplers, thinking that might give me a better chance of getting approved, but as it didn't, I just don't request anything from them any more.
Been keeping an eye out for the latest Angela Marsons to appear. Just sent a request. Fingers crossed.
Cosmos wrote: "Way to go, Adrian!"Thanks Cosmos. :)
For the record, approved for
Can't wait to read this(although will have to as have two others ahead in the que). It's a fantastic series and Kim Stone is a brilliant central character.

I have The Beautiful Dead next to read. Looking forward to it.
I must remember to not request from Orion as others here seem to be getting serial refusals.
Just approved for Blood Lines: An absolutely gripping thriller that will have you hooked
by Angela MarsonsCan't wait to read it!!
Great stuff Sue and Christine. I kinda wish it was my next read now but I'll wait till I've finished my other two first. Looking forward to loads of reviews of this soon.
I'd completely given up on this but lo & behold it appeared this morning....(doing the happy dance...)
Thanks for heads up about Angela Marsons. Requested a couple of hours ago and been approved. Love this series, whoop whoop.

"Me three - or four! I'm lucky enough to be auto approved by Bookouture and this is one author whose books I just can't resist!
Another is Nichole Christoff and she has her latest book up on NetGalley, The Kill Sign: A Jamie Sinclair Novel
and I've just been approved for that one, too!
Yup, i got it to although pre-ordered it as I've ban myself from netgalley, been very very bad have 96 books on my shelf currently and busy reading three advances copies from authors.
Christine wrote: "I am insanely jealous that you are auto approved for Bookouture, Elaine! Congratulations!!"Thanks, Christine - I'm very happy about it, too! Mind you, they have such great books they are always a huge temptation to add to my tbr pile!

There were a couple of inappropriate comments on here which you posted that I have now deleted. I know Sean has already said in another thread but I'm also reminding you again to keep comments respectful and appropriate.
Innuendo especially of the sexual kind is not necessary here. None of us invented the wheel yet the world continues to keep turning. We run a classy group here and prefer to keep it that way. If I see anything else that I deem inappropriate then you will be removed from the group.

I will keep my comments respectful and appropriate, Janet. Sorry I went down the wrong path.No more innuendo of the sexual nature. That was uncalled for and it won't be repeated.
I'll be a good member, you'll see. Just give me the chance.

Sean, you are of course a BAD boy, but I'm giving you a pass on this one. Clearly a MUST READ!! Cheers!
Christy wrote: "I just started The Girl Before"I just finished a book comparing itself to Gone Girl and Girl on a Train like this one does and it was a disaster...I hope you fair out better than I did LOL
I'm very interested what that book was. Believe it to not--I did not read Gone Girl or the other one.....for some reason...they just seemed so pop-culture I guess (Maybe I should since the names themselves seem to sell books)....I read Mark Edward's The Devil's Work which was compared to those, but after reading other reviews they said it wasn't anything like them. Perhaps my eyes just totally missed that comparison on this one.....so far, so good....a bit creepy under the surface.
Cosmos wrote: "How is it so far, Christy?"Well, just a bit in, but I'm getting a tiny creepy vibe coming through...I promise to update...hopefully later today.
Cosmos wrote: "How is it so far, Christy?"Ok...I'm further into it and it's getting interesting...an architect that I think treats his few tenants (that have to jump through major hoops to get into his pristine minimalist house) like laboratory rats....there's creepiness, and death during the building of the house....and It's written from two girls perspectives, one I'm not sure is alive anymore (Perhaps sh'e The Girl Before).....and I see that Ron Howard is already planning a movie on it.....it's good....very psychological....creepy.....I think it's going to be a huge hit when it hits! It is unique! I haven't read anything like it before....
I have been very selective with my Netgalley requests, so I am particularly pleased to report that my second ever request has been approved.Blood Lines
itching to dive in, but saving it for next week, when im on holiday :-)
Auto approved for The Trapped Girl by Robert Dugoni. Got an email from the publisher today with a pre-approved widget attached. Its the second time it has happened so delighted :)

Same for me Adrian. Also very happy as I loved his previous 3 books.

Great stuff Sue. Do you think this can be read as a stand alone? I havent read any others in the series.

I am sure it can, featuring Seattle Homicide Detective Tracy Crosswhite, but I like to read all the books in sequence to get a feel for the character and her background.
