"Finished this tonight and seem to be in a very small minority that didn't really enjoy it. My review is here:
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
I was just pre-approved for A Time of Torment by John Connolly.I try to stay away and then I get an email. Last week I got an email from Lisa Scottoline's publisher wanting me to review her book that will be released next month.
I just started reviewing books at the beginning of this year.
I've left a couple of not so positive reviews lately so will be interesting to see if it affects my approval rate at all.

Same here. And another pre-approval for Land of Careful Shadows. None of which I'm interested in reading, but am still happy to get the option! Congrats on making the list:)

Wow well done. Would be nice to get requests by email!
I`m currently on the look out for something else to request as my shelf is nearly empty.

I always find something I want to read and I have to talk myself out of it as I don't want to get too out of control.

I got that email too. I've never read one of his books, so I'm kind of excited.

I think I read one of his books but it has been awhile. Congrats!
I received that offer also. I checked Amazon, and it is part of an ongoing story. Some of the reviewers recommend you start with several of the previous books so you get all the benefits of this one.
A Time of Torment
. Didn't even request this one! Netgalley just sent it to me! I did request
The Homeplace: A Mystery and was quickly approved.

Loved Time of Torment. Great read
Anyone got any recent reads that they'd recommend? I've only started Lying In Wait by Liz Nugent but am flying through it so need to start sending some requests.

Scrap that. Just got an email. Gosh that's late!! Been approved for Mark's and another called Good Me Bad Me. A lot of buzz around that one.
Good stuff Janet. Was surprised I heard back so quickly. Thanks again for the suggestion.

Hey don't feel bad. First I have been staying away from NG because my list was getting out of hand believe it or not I am down to just 4 books BUT then B&N was having their member appreciation day 20% off so reader me bought 22 books. My daughter wanted some books after I placed my order so I went to the physical store and bought 6 more that was last week. This week wanted to get the Harry Potter book and ending up getting 4 more books. Harry Potter was sold out so bought it online and got 4 additional books since the Potter book was sold out. Went home and order it online along with an additional 4 books and seen 3 of the books I bought in store cheaper so I think I'll shop online to save the $3-6 per book.
is my best recent thriller read from NG. Still available til Aug 11th.Review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Funny , a true reader!
Because the published liked my review of Lying In Wait by Liz Nugent they offered me a copy of Unravelling Oliver. Totally thrilled. Came through the post yesterday. :)
Just been approved The Trespasser by Tana French. Was convinced I wouldn't get this. :-D one happy face!

I posted a link for my NetGalley review on Twiiter and she retweeted it and posted a thank you on my timeline.
Would prefer a free copy of Unravelling Oliver though. I really loved Lying In Wait.

Be interesting to see what you thought of All Is Not Forgotten. I really really liked it. A bit left field from the norm and I loved the format!
